I have read several conflicting threads and posts on this forum of people saying yes, he can still win, and those saying no he cannot, even one guy saying it was now impossible for Paul to win.

Can someone clarify this issue in a very concise, clear response?

Thanks.

Yes, but it depends on a brokered convention. But then, it always did. It is now harder, but if Ron gets momentum from his delegate wins before Texas and CA it could happen. I can't say it is 'likely', but there is a path. Part of that path is convincing other conservatives that now is the time to MAKE the GOP represent conservative voices, and that Romney should be blocked from getting 1144 delegates so he NEEDS conservatives at convention.

The snake above me has yet another plan, if Ron is up for it.

Yes, very much a chance.
It's possible to win the nomination with delegates if Mitt stays in but would require delegate wins in Texas or California.
If Mitt drops out(for any reason), then he'll be the only candidate after Newt drops out next week.

Okay, so can Ron Paul win Oregon? Seems like that would help.

It would definitely help.

The impossible to win statement is from the AP projected delegates, (which is inaccurate) Ron if he got all the rest of delegates couldn't get 1144. However, many delegates 'allocated' by the AP to others will be Ron's. Still, I'm not thinking he'd get 1144 on the first ballot but that he might keep Romney from getting it. In that case there would be more than one ballot and delegates would be unbound.

Again, a lot would need to fall our way.

I'm hoping for a miracle in Texas.

Just bash Romney and tell voters to vote against him by voting for the Texan and veteran, Ron Paul

FAIL!

We are getting delegates. We are going to win this in Tampa. Either get on the revolution train or get of and stop sayin he don't have a chance. Money is coming in, people are coming out, grass roots is working there @$$$ off , the delegate process is working and we will win.

From my understanding, our chances are very minimal after last night.

Sure, it depends if it goes to a contested convention, but Romney can easily lock up the remaining 300-400 delegates he needs within the next 20 contests or so.

Edit:

Which is why everyone needs to be a delegate and go to their conventions.

^^^ THIS ^^^

Even Doug Wead in an earlier Blog stated the odds are very long, but not impossible, stranger things have happened.

The Campaign needs an End of the Month Money Bomb to raise $500,000 and put at least half into a hard hitting TV Campaign in the May 8th Primaries (ALL ARE OPEN) North Carolina, Indiana and West Virginia.

$$$$ are the life blood of a Campaign!!! Are you listening Jesse or John??? and yes I have sent you two suggestions on the subject on the Official Campaign Website.

Time is short to take advantage of moment!!!! especially in light of Gingrich announcing that he is suspending his Campaign on May 1st!! What at gift, finally Mitt vs Ron, from 9 down to 2 Candidates and one of them is our HERO.

And yet more confusion for the OP.

It is possible at this point in time, yes.

As Sailingaway stated above, lots of things have to fall in our direction.

Anyone who wants to argue take it to hot topics.

There's a difference between being optimistic and being unrealistic. Keeping hope alive isn't a bad thing. But this Brokered Convention isn't going to happen, so therefore there is no path for Ron to secure the nomination. No offense, but this comes off as delusional. Fail went out of style years ago, btw.

Ron won't be the Republican nominee.

I'm sure Gary would step aside and be Ron's VP on the LP ticket.

I got stuck in traffic today and both Clear Channel radio (so called conservative) talk show hosts were both saying we have to vote for Romney now and one even said "Thank God Ron Paul will not be at the convention" and that Romney IS the nominee. I was so ticked off but couldn't call in because I was driving. These people two weeks ago were Anyone but Romney...I guess the GOP PTB have sent the word out. I seriously hate these people.

lol! Even Fox admitted 'it looks inevitable' that Ron is going to get the plurality of delegates in 5 states to be nominated into contention at the RNC.
