Does anyone have any doubt that the global economy will collapse entirely?

Do you really believe the US/Global Economy will collapse?

Property taxes are just 1 of what, dozens of taxes. So saying all taxes while meaning just property taxes is not only dishonest, it is downright wrong! Anyway, obviously your claim is certainly untrue. So why make it? Please, let's base this discourse on reality. Not your evil thoughts!

Give me a break. Property taxes a BY FAR the largest tax expense anyone in NH pays. That is reality. Base your discourse on that. Geesum crow.

Plenty of places in New Hampshire don't even HAVE property taxes so what? Plenty of places have low property taxes. Than there is current use, duplex, manufactured homes, condos, renting and living in major cities as ways to avoid some or ALL property taxes. You are speaking crazy stuff. Please. Let' focus on reality!

Keith and stuff,

I don't appreciate you giving me a red card on my reputation because you disagree with my opinions.

I lived in NH for nearly 30 years and still own property there. Saying there are places with no property taxes is absurd. Current Use property can not be used to live on - you have to take it out of current use. Duplexs, condos, renting, intentional communities, etc all calculate property taxes into their costs. You are the one who is not being realistic. NH is a great place to live but it is not without its faults. Promoting it like it's the end-all, be-all is fine - but don't speak to things you clearly don't know enough about. Bad form.

Request you tell the moderator to remove that red card.

Then you are very well aware there are a dozen places in NH without property taxes.

Current Use property can not be used to live on - you have to take it out of current use.
You put 10+ acres of your property in current use and live in the rest. Everyone in NH knows this. Why lie?

Duplexs, condos, renting, intentional communities, etc all calculate property taxes into their costs.
True. I know people renting paying $200 a month in rent. I know people in condos paying $1300 a year in property taxes. Keep in mind, no income tax, sales tax, liquor tax, death tax, estate tax, gambling tax, internet tax, personal property tax, internet tax, cigar tax, inventory tax and so on...

NH is a great place to live but it is not without its faults.
Absolutely! NH isn't perfect. It is just the best there is in the world. It is called the Free State Project for a reason. Please move here and help us reduce taxes! That's part of the point.

Request you tell the moderator to remove that red card.
You lied. You think you should be allowed to lie over and over again without any punishment by the community? Are you insane? Please learn the rules! Learn to respect the rules. Be a useful member of this forum. I'd love to give you +Rep!

We're not going to have a mad max scenario but I foresee major evolution in money

It's inevitable only question is how quickly are they manifested. For instance we could catalyze the situation by getting rid of Harry Raid, John McCain, Lindsay Graham, Nancy Pelosis which is a auto-immune disease

i don't want to subject the board to more of your falsehoods and stupid banter. every response you just gave shows your lack of comprehension on the matter and you are just trying to argue to save face. i'm done.

Agreed... Ron Paul has discussed this at length. He has been warning about it for decades. I'm just not sure how to quantify it. Don't know what a fiat currency collapse looks like.

Me neither. But I think the first thing that gets noticed is rapidly rising gas prices. I think global commodities get hit by inflation first and gas is a global commodity that we buy everyday.

It's as if all the Central Banks and PTB are at a standoff... waiting to see who starts running for the exit first...

The economy is collapsing now.

What was that meeting Obummer just called with the top banksters all about?

That is worse than a disease my good man. When I was a young man fishing for bream & crappie, shooting doves to bbq on the St Francis River in Arkansas , had I seen such a creature , I would have gotten out my Arkansas Toothpick :).

Everything will be just fine. The world will keep turning, my morning Cheerios will be just as delicious, and the beer will still be cold when I'm off work.

I got 99 problems but a global economic collapse ain't one.

The thin veneer of civilization as we know it is wholly dependent upon an increasingly fragile and stressed power grid. I'd hate to see what society devolves to if the spice oil stops flowing for a month or two. I saw enough in the aftermaths of Katrina and Ike to hazard a guess.

I would just like to note that it appears that I owe Keith and Stuff a partial apology - regarding some areas of NH not charging property taxes. Please note that there is a difference between "having" property taxes vs. "charging" property taxes. I spoke with the NH State Revenue Director and there are some areas (unincorporated areas, land grants, etc) that have "0" tax rates. As far as I can tell the total population in these areas is miniscule. They said there was a NY Times article on it 10 years ago and they worried people would move there... but few have. One grant has one person living on it and another one has 4, though I did not research them all. The majority of the land is owned by the federal govt, big timber concerns or trusts and you either can't buy it, can't access it, or it is in an area no one really wants to be. There ARE taxes on the land and costs associated with roads, education, etc, but the population is so sparse that the timber tax revenues pays for it. So there is more income from timber taxes than needed to pay the state and local property tax assessments - so they issue a credit and technically don't need to collect other property taxes. If timber revenues fall short then property taxes would be collected. I did not know that - and I apologize on this point.

Cheerios ? I did not realize you were destitute Jordan , you could have stopped by the house. We had eggs over easy out of the hen house sausage , sausage gravy :)

I suspect the powers that be want the collapse or a war to reboot everything for increased centralization. There are plenty of useful idiots who will buy it hook line and sinker.

The non-conspiratorial view would be that a sudden collapse would be great for the long term as it would likely diminish the role of the government.

To us, we're in serious trouble. To others, though, they think having an enormous debt is fine, printing money is not a big deal and the only solution is more government.

But in regards to your question, I have no doubt the global economy will collapse. It is crumbling as we speak - rising interest rates, an increase in debt payments and a decrease of countries purchasing treasuries. It's difficult to distinguish a timeline, though, because we all thought it would end by now. So when people ask me when the end is, I'm just honest and say I don't know, but it will happen eventually.

It's tough out there with unemployment dropping on a near-monthly basis, you know.
