Does anyone have any doubt that the global economy will collapse entirely?

Still amazed how split the forum is on the OP. Anyone notice the Nasdaq crash today?

CNN Money says the NASDAQ went up today. My guess is, if the economy collapses in the next 3 years, ObamaCare will be the main factor. I'm hoping Republicans will continue to make progress on reserving ObamaCare.

Stocks higher after Nasdaq's 3-hour halt
Aug 22 4:27pm:

U.S. stocks closed higher Thursday even after a technical glitch at the Nasdaq OMX caused a trading halt in all Nasdaq-listed stocks and options for more than three hours.

All I know is I will continue to work my ass off, take all the overtime I can get, and put a lot of my currency into gold and silver.

I'm going to prepare in my own way and even though the thought of living through a total collapse in the city of Chicago scares me a touch i'm also convinced the urban areas will be the hardest to control when shit hits the fan. People running to the hills may be OK in the beginning but they'll be no match for a platoon on their own. I think it's easier to fight back in the cities, or at the very least hunker down. There's too much to control when you're talking millions of people rioting at once. It's a big risk believing what I believe and living where I live but I need the money to escape.

I'm going to keep living beneath my means and saving as much real money as I can. I'm already up to about 10k and owe no debts. I'd like to move to NH and start a business at some point but I want more capital before I do and Chicago provides me the quickest way to make money.

Don't fool yourselves folks, the collapse is coming and it will happen by the end of this decade. It's worked in 7 year cycles since we left the GS and adopted the petrodollar in 73. That would put the next "event" in 2015 but at the rate things are going I think we could see things get worse sooner though I'm sticking with 2015. My goal is to save as much as I can and stock up on as much as I can before it comes and then when it does hit I will put all my capital into investing in distressed assets like real estate and starting my own small business. We are all luckily enough to have been exposed to Ron Paul so at least we're having the conversation.

Even collapses offer great opportunities for wealth and the more of us that make it to the other side the greater the chance liberty can flourish in the new paradigm. I hope the Doctor has woken up enough people that we, the remnant, can truly rise up after the world has gone to the dogs and restore our republic.

It's tough out there with unemployment dropping on a near-monthly basis, you know.

It doesn't really matter when they're all part time waiting jobs now does it?

It only took more dollars than had ever been created in history to get to this economic stagnation... all is well!

Only two numbers that mean much to me anymore as far as employment are how many people are working measured against those who are not and median income .That is the only real look you get . I wil say this, there are not enough taxpayers to prop this fed govt spending up forever . I am doing what I can to make sure it has no effect on me.
