Do you want to ask Ron Paul a question?

I'll be meeting him for the VIP reception Monday Sept 17th.

If you have a specific question you've been wanting to ask him, let me know, I'll try and ask him a couple questions.

Yes. Please ask him if he really believes that any environmentally conscious voter believes nuclear energy is "clean". Having grown up in the shadow of Fermi II - the "We Almost Lost Detroit" nuclear plant, there's no way I would ever want to see more nuclear plants going up ANYWHERE.

What does he want the grassroots to do to help promote him?

Ask him if he takes his marching orders from alCIAda. :)

Seriously though... I'd ask what his plans are if he fails to receive the GOP nomination. I've heard he doesn't want to try running on a third-party ballot, but would he go independent? Has he thought about it? Is it completely out of the question, or would he maybe consider it? I've never heard any firm responses to this, and I am somewhat curious.

I work in that industry if you have any technical questions.

Yeah, WILL YOU GO TO THE PHILLY LIBERTY RALLY IN NOVEMEBER? The grassroots has already purchased insurance for the event and Michael Badnarik has agreed to speak.

Very important question if you ask me.

i'd ask him why the Illegal Immigration issue hasn't become a cornerstone issue of his campaign, and why he doesn't talk about it as much as say, abolishing the FED, or abolishing Roe V Wade.

Seriously... its somewhere in the top 3 with EVERY american voter - everyone has an opinion on it, and like the war - most side with Ron's position. I'd like to know about Ron's specific plans for solving this problem (would he start by enforcing hiring practices? put the entire nat. guard on the border? deport everyone?? etc..)

and i'd suggest very kindly that he start talking about it more ;)

Ask him if knows of the "Comprehensive Annual Financial Report" of the USA. and the Leo Wanta trillions that is the result of Reagan that is due to the USA treasury. Paul is so concerned with economics, I have never seen him talk of these things

.

I'm meeting him tomorrow for breakfast and I don't think I'd dare offer him suggestion on how to run his campaign...but maybe that's just me.

I'll have no problem saying my personal opinions like 'i hope you choose to run if you dont get the nom' or 'immigration is a big issue for me'... but I think it'd be a bit presumptuous to offer suggestions on how to run his campaign...I have a big ego, but not THAT big. haha

I'm not sure if he would answer that and I'm not sure it would be a good idea to talk about it.

The rival campaigns already accuse him of not belonging to the party and if he mentions possibly running on a 3rd party ballot, his rivals may try to use that as proof he doesn't deserve a Republican nomination.

I work a company that builds apartments with government funded money. Here in Arkansas it is called ADFA. It is money from the federal government giving to each state. Then the state tells different companies that there is say, $5 million available for multi-family housing out there. They also do a study on what cities need them the most.

Then the companies submit there bids for the money and who ever wins the bid get the money to build affordable housing in area's that need them the most.

I was wondering what his take on this is? Should the federal government not take a part in this or should the state government do this?

Thanks

Easy, feds stay out and states do what they want.

I don't think Ron Paul wants to run as a 3rd party, because he said you just end up spending all your time trying to get on ballots.

If I were able to ask him a question though, it would be about assets. Like would he recommend buying up lots of gold, or other hard assets like real estate, or maybe euros? Like what would he recommend to hedge against the dollar losing value, due to the federal reserve.

This is communism.

I'm not familiar with these issues are they in another thread somewhere?

I would agree with you there, but I do think that people in the middle of a campaign can lose perspective. They may, for example, have no idea that people are getting a misimpression about something that they take forgranted everyone knows. I guess all I am saying is that I think that input from outside the bubble can be useful to a campaign. Look at how blind the campaigns of Dukakis and John Kerry were about some things. Just tell him thanks from all of us. I recognize that being President is, really, the last thing he wants to be, but is to much of a patriot not to stand up the rest of us with little or no voice. Ycu could tell him I wish I had gotten his autograph before he became so famous.

Hey you all who are meeting with him - please ask him at the AFA debate on the 17th to tell/instruct/plead with people to go to his website and look up where he stands on issues.

I really want people to learn about him from what he says not from what the MSM says about him.

Please oh please - if one more person I know calls him a liberal or a nutjob without knowing anything about him, I might explode.

I doubt he would give out financial advice, but if you want to know what he thinks, look up his financial statements (a significant portion of his stock portfolio is in gold mining companies).

ask him what his priorities are in regard to corporate welfare.

particularly farm subsidies... a young man can't even afford
a piece of ground these days 'cuz the corporations and
big farms buy it all up and then feed at the gov't teet.

and they want to build 3 nuclear plants in his (my) congressional
district. this is an area that should have learned the lessons of
corporate America.

[if you are not familiar, please look up ALCOA and MATAGORDA BAY.]

but they can't make it happen w/out free money. how does his
stance on the fed play into this, if it does at all?

Whether you ask him this or not is moot, but just in case you get the chance.

"Ron Paul, I'm a big fan, and I agree with just about all of your issues, except 1, and that is the impeachment of our current president, George Bush. I actually think that you are going to go all the way to win the election, but what bothers me, and I think you know very well, is that the president has had many unconstitutional bills passed.

What is to say that he doesn't invoke his unconstitutional bills, and invoke martial law by unjust means? He has already destroyed Habeus Corpus, and with his wiretapping bills, and the Patriot Act, I don't think he is really a lame duck as many people claim him to be. I am afraid he could invoke martial law, and destroy any chances of this country returning to freedom. I would appreciate if you could explain to me why impeaching President Bush is a bad idea.
