Do you think Paul & Huck should team up against the McRomney duo?

The Democrats have already narrowed their field to Clinton and O'Bama. I suspect the media would now like to narrow the Republican field to McCain and Romney.

I think Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee should put aside their differences during the debate and go after McCain and Romney with no mercy. They should exceed their alotted time, just like the others do. They should interrupt if necessary to respond to false statements. And they should even attack the moderator if warranted.

They should give everyone a debate that won't soon be forgotten.

Bump,

Why not, all the other ones pull this stuff. It would make it more interesting if Huck and Dr. Paul did a good guy bad guy routine.

I vote for Huck as the bad guy!

I've talked about this before (and usually I'm dismissed as crazy, "that'll never happen" etc).

But I've always wanted to see a race where a Presidential candidate sincerely changed his ideologies in the middle of the race. Huckabee's more recent statements "we have no right to go around the world enforcing democracy on people" makes me suspect this could be happening. I highly doubt it, and I suspect he's just pandering...but I do hold out that, if Huckabee really is a Christian, the Lord could still tug at his heart-strings and really get him to re-evaluate his whole political ideologies and philosophies.

If Huckabee truly did have a change of heart and started embracing more of Ron's positions (and thus, a Ron Paul+Huckabee duo), I'm not sure what McRomney would think or do...let alone the MSM. Ron Paul would have the brains, and statistics, and Huckabee would have the eloquent presentation.

I doubt it'll ever happen, but I still hold out a tiny bit of hope it could happen.

if it really did happen (remember, I said SINCERE change in Huckabee), it'd be quite the "dream-team" ticket.

McCain and Romney will be bashing each other tonight yes?

They are probably going to get 75% of the time. Huck will get 15 and our leader will get 10. Ron needs to insult the others to get them to respond and start a debate with him.

I want to believe in miracles :)

But I also wanted to believe in billionaires :(

Still, if the Huckabee wants to keep sliding over towards Ron Paul's positions I wouldn't be adverse to him as a VP.

Huck won't be attacking McCain they have an alliance. Huck is staying in the race until super Tuesday only so that he can split the Jesus vote with Romney to McCain's advantage. In return, Huck expects to be considered for VP if McCain is the nominee. Huck and McCain will probably be real gentle with each other while Huckabee will be a bit of an attack dog against Romney. They will be ignoring Ron Paul completely as will the debate moderators.

I like that idea. Something must be done to stop those two...

FOR SURE! Sounds like a great plan. Two guys trying to get rid of the income tax, two guys trying to use grassroots support, two guys speaking about ending the government invading people's personal choices (despite Paul actually doing, and Huck using rhetoric), two guys lagging in results despite their "truly" conservative views. It would work excellently...unless CNN offers Romney an insane amount of time to speak nonsense like MSNBC did.

Huck won't go for this. He is in the McCain camp. If McCain wins, look for Huck to be on the ticket as VP, so if anything you will see McCain and Huck going after Romney, and Paul out there by himself as usual.

No, Huckabee has already aligned with McCain, if there is to be a "debate alliance" Romney and Paul should tag team against Huck and McLame.

Romney could make Huckabee look irrelevant and Paul could make McCain look like a fool.

Why would we want to ally with Huck? H eis the biggest drain on the Paul campaign of supporters that would support Paul otherwise. Teaming the two underdogs against the two frontrunners would not be a good strategy - and like I said Huck has already made it clear that he will kiss McCain's ass just for a whiff of real power.

Ron Paul does not need any alliance with Huckabee. Huck is living on borrowed time.

RP needs to focus on the two big liberal dogs.

stop letting the media run the show and stop assuming they are.....

We dont need to narrow a damn thing down.

Huckabee can be Ron Pauls vp or better yet the chaplain for the white house. Or even better the bass player for when they play "hail to the chief"... He can be a roadie if he wants.

Does anyone else fear as I do - that McCain will pull the Lieberman rabbit out of his hat for VP ? naw couldn't happen - could it ? In other news- it looks like Nader might jump into the race. I'm hoping that Dr. Paul gets a fair chance tonight - what are the odds of that happening ?
