100%.
Enforcement is what makes taxes taxes.
Without that, they're just voluntary contributions.
That's why Florida expected to get more revenue by way of this tax increase. If it weren't a tax increase they wouldn't get more revenue.
If you don't murder people, you are making a voluntary contribution to population growth. By your logic, that is a true statement right?
The tax laws were on the books. People were getting away with it, but now aren't. That is all that happened. Nobody increased anything.

DeSantis is up for reelection next year. He most likely won't run since he probably wants to cement himself in Florida. If he ever does run, I don't expect it until 2028.Yeah I would. I also like DeSantis.
I think he plans to run. He's borrowed a page from Trump by being more assertive. I would like to see a Rand-Kristi Noem ticket.
This is why I can't support him anymore:

31 out of 49 GOP Senators co-sponsored, including Rand.
Let's mention the ones who did not:
Shelby (AL), Murkowski (AK), Risch (ID), McConnell (KY), Collins (ME), Wicker (MS), Blunt (MO), Fischer (NE), Sasse (NE), Burr (NC), Portman (OH), Toomey (PA), Graham (SC), Rounds (SD), Cornyn (TX), Lee (UT), Romney (UT).
How many of those are genuine objections ? maybe half. maybe. I don't know. All I know is Rand didn't have to co-sponsor, and that's all I need to know.
Exactly....The presidency is a waste. Best to focus on our local and state races more than anything.
Exactly....
Talk about "a waste of thinking space"In fact, I'd encourage people to just leave the GOP (at least for now, it's Trump's party and there is no turning Trump supporters) and boost the LP and take it over via the Mises Caucus... Let's finally draw the line in the sand and see where our true numbers are with this.
Because you're a sellout. Why are you here? This is why I can't support him anymore:
