i can honestly say im really happy for the first time in a long time because of all this. :o

i dont even care if he comes close to a win, im just glad to see that im not crazy for thinking these ideas have some form of mainstream appeal.

Yeah no kidding! I can't believe all the people that are pulling for him... I even heard socialist is down with Ron Paul. How is that even possible? Either way politics are going to change.

btw, I wasn't a liberal... I was labeled one at PW because I was so socially liberal and anti-war. I've always been pretty libertarian.
 
It seems obvious that the villian in the comic would be Rudy McRomney, and his corporate media cronies. But he could also fight Sean Hanity, and pretty much anybody on FOX. You could also make it 1984esk to highlight all of the bias and misrepresentation.
 
'liberal' and 'conservative' are stupid labels. If you go by the modern definitions, I'm neither. I've tried to hang out with both circles. As long as you're agreeing with them, s'all good - you're a brother. Dissent, however, is not tolerated, not on a single issue. And since I'm pretty close to 30%/30% on liberal/conservative issues (the other 40% of my opinions not qualifying as either), I never kept many friends there!

Anyways, back to this thread's real purpose... any cool ideas for the first 2 or 3 storylines? I definitly want to have Electron Paul battling a spoof-character of ole Rudy very early on.

If you guys want some good ideas for comics... especially political satire have
a look at www.newstarget.com The guy that runs that site has a regular
comic about the FDA, Corrupt medical establishment and the like.

Might help you kick up some ideas.

i have a better idea for a cartoon

a 30 second spot showing bush at a podium with a cartoon speach bubble that above him says "EVIL" and an appropriate peanuts "wamp wamp" sound effect, ron paul rapels into the scene and manipulates "I" in that word with a bicycle pump so that the word changes to "EVOL," flips the letters around to be like the backwards "LOVE" on the ron paul revolution signs, then hits an eject button and takes bush's spot at the podium.

the GOP would never let this ad play even if paul was their candidate, but campy is good

The idea is cute. :)

We're thinking in terms of a web-comic style right now, not the moving pictures, though. Something easily reproduced in print for The Big Event.
 
We could have the first comic be a television broadcast of the three-headed monster Rudy McRomney, and the monster is hypnotizing all of the people watching into doing its evil bidding. Then, Electron Paul bursts in and tries to stop it while the Rudy head screams something like, "no... not Electron Paul! That's Absurd!" Then you could work Hannity into it somehow.
 
OK, I've got one. Someone go sketch this please - aim for 4 to 10 "boxes". Or provide input and then we'll sketch them. Whatever, either way. :D

1> Electron Paul sitting at a desk, with a big "NO" stamp in business suit, et al. (Normal Ron Paul)
2> A caricature of Dubya makes plans to attack Islamistan (very nefarious looking scheming feel to this/these scene(s)) - maybe something written on the papers like "pork" or something more funny than that.
3> Electron Paul undergoes a transformation and stops our caricature Dubya character by the power of Electrons (lol?)

Second idea
1> Debate scene, Electron Paul in normal business suit/etc.
2> Rudy Gambino (caricature Giuliani character) states that terrorists only hate us for our freedom, and that he's going to end terrorism by putting a stop to freedom
3> Electron Paul transforms, and using the power of the 9/11 commission report, teaches Gambino a lesson!

Tell me what you think guys!
