Do we get a suprise ron paul surge in the s.c. primaries tomorrow?

That was Fred Thompson. He always looks like that.

I thought he looked familiar. But still, out of everyone cheering in the audience, they never cut to that. They always cut to the one person or small group that has already made up their mind that Ron Paul is a 'nut'

I do not believe Dr. Paul will get a surge tomorrow in SC, but my belief is based on polls. I think he will come in last (hopefully 3rd), due to the media blackout. However this won't be the end of the campaign.

The anti-Ron Paul media is powerful, but I don't think it's powerful enough if it's just him and Romney.

Call CNN: 404-827-1500. Follow the automated prompts to get to the comments mailbox. Tweeting and Facebook posting about media bias is more powerful than emailing the offending organizations.

If Mitt wins and the media calls it, it may benefit us. Strong grassroots support will still likely turn out while those voting for Romney only because he's the strongest will be more inclined to stay home.

That's a really good thought, I hadn't considered that.

I can't believe people still think that whoever delivers the best one-liner is the winner. How moronic.

what bothers me is that people who say newt won, are saying so based on the way he answered the opening question... he made the media out to be the bad guy screaming at them to get people to feel bad for him..... however in the end he didnt answer the question, and how people dont see right through his bullshit really annoys the shit outta me!!

Drudge poll was a sham. You could vote as many times as you wanted to. I voted twice just to check and see if it was actually going to ALLOW me to vote a second time.

And then the media propagandists push this meme over and over and over again. Just in case they missed it the first 50 times.

Stupid sheep.

A lot of the whistle-stop tour is in CD1 - who knows - wherever the most independents are.

I'm less concerned about the total % of the vote and more concerned about picking up delegates. I'll take 18% of the vote with picking up 2 delegates over 32% of the vote and getting no delegates.

Remember the only thing that matters in the long run is delegates - not % of the vote. Don't fall into the media's dick-measuring beauty contest.

Is every state like this or just S.C.?

Would it be the shocking event of the year, if Ron Paul wins first place with 40% of the votes tomorrow in South Carolina despite the polls? I would certainly think so.

can someone tell me what the gold stars mean next to the thread title?

If you look at the top right corner of each thread there is a place to "rate this thread." Five stars means an "EXCELLENT" thread.

continued blackout....nope. don't see it happening. its funny b/c i was thinking the only thing that could stop romney/gingrich would be some kind of insane news... turns out the media especially fox is sitting here turning the gingrich story into a positive for him. Really?

the media is definitely boosting gingrich right now well see i think he has a strong chance to win.

My prediction for tomorrow is this: I think this will be very tight.

Romney 29%
Gingrich 29%
Santorum 21%
Ron Paul 21%

They purposely tell Perry to drop out so Ron can not claim he is leading in ANYTHING. Game over see yall in 2016. Sorry. I hope I'm wrong. I hope something happens and people wake up, but I am not delusional. Ron isn't either, and if someone asks me, I will tell them to vote for Ron Paul, but no one is asking me. We'll see though. sad sad sad after such a great debate. they are despicable.

Don't beat the messenger. Just letting all know how the poll came out spam or not.

A bunch of people are going to see that before they vote tomorrow. If it helps Santorum drop out great.

i dont understand what you mean? i mean lets call a spade a spade here for a sec. how important in the grand scheme of things is south carolinas primary? i know the history of it, but how important is it in reality? please exclude how the media plays a role after s.c.

also i want to say that with the way the debate went last night, i really think we are all going to be in for a great great suprise!!!! they demanded to hear from ron, i dont think you guys understand how important that part of the debate was!!! ron paul is catching on everyone!!! the more people who catch on, the less the media plays a role in this!!

well, barring the history anything could technically happen. so ron paul could be sworn in january 2013. Is that likely? probably not. there are many many unknowns, but the status quo is important and obama has maintained it. lets not forget, it may not matter if romney wins the nomination. 4 more years of obama may be possible as well.
