Do we form a third party, or do we take back the existing parties?

It seems that the Libertarian Party isn't that popular (though that may change).

I don't see many changes to the two-party system now, so I think we need to take back both parties.

Rand Paul would never have a chance as a third party candidate. Neither would any other candidate we are running. Until the laws are changed at the State Legislature level, running as a third party candidate is nearly impossible. This has been discussed heavily. I suggest going back a few pages or doing a forum search.

If the goal is to elect like minded libertarian people, no matter what party they are, then that leaves only one deciding factor: ballot accessibility. And whether you like it or not, it's far easier to get on the ballot as a R/D than as a third party candidate.

It is true third parties have little chance, and it is set up that way. As a third party candidate Ron Paul had no chance, and as a Republican they also rigged the game against him.

It does not appear the public is ready to massively vote for the human being void of any party. But that is what it will take in order to take the control the elitists have over our elections. Perhaps after enough times being fooled, the people will decide take control.

Infiltrate them, no question. The machinery is already set up, which makes ot alot easier and less expensive than if we were to start from scratch. We get exposure from the media, etc.

Would we have Ron Paul, Debra Medina, Rand Paul, etc making waves if they were running on a libertarian ticket? Clearly not.

Any 3rd party would be infiltrated very easily. And there would be lots of infighting over petty things that don't matter, because of the tactics used by the infiltrators,

As the Supreme Court in its infancy did not understand its power to decide constitutionality, it was the two party system that first evolved to sway interpretation of it. The two party system still performs that function sufficiently to keep radical change from happening to the Constitution beyond that of ammending (careful alterings).

Every party is made up of and a compromise between many small parties. This makes both parties moderate. If president Obama has chosen to support an extremist agenda, he has proven that he has far more elegance than sense.

Having three parties does not make sense. This nation wasn't founded on a deep, political science as governments were in Europe, but on a natural law. As the Truth established by this natural law is self evident to the extent that it needs no experts explaining it to the people, and unalienable to the extent that it reduces bipartisanly to the collective conscience of every American, we don't need three parties.
The main reason the two party system was established in the United States was to judge Constitutionality (more like sway it) as the Supreme Court did not handle this chore in its infancy.

But reality is never about others believing as we do, but it is always about compromise. Besides, Americans aren't in the game to create the perfect government, but we are in the game to establish a "necessary tyranny" to serve the people for their betterment.
