Give us marching orders! I'm tired of doing nothing, our country is getting ruined! What do we have to do! TELL US!!!

I think what is he IS doing now is trying to show us that this is bigger than him. We don't need him to point a direction. The message gives way to the movement. Ron Paul was only a small part of his campaign, it was all of us who listened and money-bombed and spread the word. He wants us to prove to ourselves that we can move forward once he is gone.

you've been waiting forever huh?
12 whole posts!

why don't you do something? Be a leader not a follower.

It is up to us to decide if we truely want liberty and thus act upon that desire...He wants YOU to make the decision without any politician telling you what, when, and how to do it. Remember he represents the people. It's not the other way around.

Exactly.

I don't totally disagree with the 12 post person. We are educated, resourceful, and ready to act. If RP would make a strong suggestion on a tactic or two I think it would give us more political bang for our buck. We haven't really done much beyond campaign for RP and have two rallies. I think once we got a few cohesive activist actions under our belts that we would be more solidified as a potential quick acting and streamlined force, with an organizing learning experience that we could cookie cut for future events. How about two thousand Revolution activists swarm to their nearest Fed branch on a given date and time and protest like mad to end the Fed? Or something along these lines. How many Feds are there? Like 7 or something? That's 14,000 of the 110,000 CFL members. Seems doable. How about meet up groups picketing their local Representative offices. Very visible yet very simple. Senators too.

Great idea, see now were talking!
But we need a good date...Anyone have ideas?

We need the spark to light the fire, the gas has been drenched over a lot of us the last few months.

Talk to your neighbors, your co-workers, your family members and so on. Try to show people (in a good way, not by calling people names or shouting) what needs to happen. It's a bottom-up thing. It can be scary, because a lot of us are used to being told by the guvmint what to think, feel and say, but this is what needs to happen (IMHO).

I owe my motivation to the newcomer:VegasBoy. Welcome VegasBoy.

OK RideThedirt let's see, if for experimental purposes only, how much support or interest there is on the forum for a Fed picketing date. Let's brainstorm. We could put up a poll I guess with each Fed branch listed and see how many sign-ups we get. We could also make a choice for "I can't go" or something. Help me our here. We'll do a joint post (I haven't seen a joint post yet, it'll be a first).

This may have to evolve quickly into a website to count pledges to attend. The beauty in the Fed protest is that there is no overhead. Only your tank of gas and your home made sign. the website should cost less than $100. Trevor Lyman responded personally to an idea I sent to Break the Matrix last week in relation to the bailout. Maybe they could help us with a stripped down web page and a little PR.

It would also be useful to know what percentage of forum participants have affiliations with Ron Paul Meet Up groups (perhaps another poll). I'm signing off till tomorrow but I'll definitely check this thread.

The poll might be worded something like, "Would You attend if at least 1000 pledge to attend" or something. Because no body wants to go if only 30 people show up.

I'm open to any and all ideas.

Anaconda is right on.

Picket the Federal Reserve Buildings every single day. Start, and the crowds will join you.

If you don't live near a Federal Reserve, picket the local office of your Congressman.

Jump in here politicus. Let's see how much interest there is for this. Maybe we can also begin building some methodology for finding out what projects Revolution members are interested in. Maybe forum members can submit ideas and then we can vote and select the best ones and get the ball rolling on some things.

O.K. there are 13 Fed Banks.
1. San Francisco
2. Dallas
3. Atlanta
4. Richmond (VA)
5. St. Louis
6. Kansas City
7. Cleveland
8. New York
9. Boston
10.Minneapolis
11.Philadelphia
12.Chicago
13.Washington, D.C.

Will 1000 people want to go to one of these locations? Seems pretty reasonable to me. It's great timing also. We should do them on 13 successive days and get RP to make a speech at each protest rally. Whaddya' think? A total of at least 13,000 people. You go to the one nearest you. For example, I live in Oakland, just a quick hop, skip, and a jump across the bay. I could get to the S.F. Fed in about 30 minutes.

Hmmm... our own version of the "Silent Sentinels" perhaps?

Although, I can't really imagine us standing "silently" outside of any federal reserve building. The temptation to scream would be entirely too overwhelming.

A neat little "trick" the Sentinels used was displaying quotes from speeches made by Wilson with regards to other countries but that applied to their plight.

Here is an example:

We shall fight for the things which we have always carried nearest our hearts--for democracy, for the right of those who submit to authority to have a voice in their own governments.

I live overseas, otherwise I would be in front of the Minneapolis Fed every afternoon.

There will be a nationwide End the Fed protest on October 22nd. The organizing website is: http://endthefed.us/

Most Americans know that Washington is not looking out for us. I think that the anti-bailout and End the Fed demonstrations can really snowball.

On another thread I mentioned the recent demonstrations here in Korea. In the beginning, they were organized by students over the internet. Within days, they mushroomed to over a hundred thousand people every single day blocking the main road in Seoul. The demonstrations have had a tremendous effect and stopped the unpopular government in its tracks.

Imagine if there were enough people to engage in non-violent demonstrations blocking the thouroughfares in front of the Federal Reserves.

The corrupt will not relinguish their power without resistance. And you see what they think about Our opinions with letters 300 to 1 on the bailout.

Im In...

we might get a lot of people due to the bailout BS and the political climate right now. I've never seen my local FED...time I paid a little visit. ;)

It can't just be picketing. People need to hand deliver letters to thier congressmen telling them to support Ron Paul's resolution to end the fed. There needs to be spokespeople in every city to tell the media why they are picketing in a clear, easy to understand manner.
