DNC Controversy right now!!!

<thought the better of posting what i wanted to post>

...I don't think give a shit. Coke vs Pepsi has been done and done and done and done. Good to see that we're right about both parties being two sides of the same coin, though. That's nice.

I think it shows the subject is pretty important too, as it shows they are willing to break the rules in order to pander to the AIPAC crowd and the zionists/Israel worshippers.

Obama knows who runs this country.

The country is run by a large number of powerful interests, organizations and political lobby groups. Obama, as does every other politician in DC, knows that AIPAC is the most powerful of the political lobby groups. The blatant cheating at the Conventions will be buried, but the issue of catering to AIPAC can not be avoided. "I love Israel more than you" is now the topic. It's a bit ironic, as both "Parties" are in agreement on the issue, but if it distracts from their cheating and other issues they don't want to discuss, it's win-win for them.

I have no problem with Jews, I just hate Israel.

^that's an irreconcilable statement if I want to take part in the GOP^

What can I do but be part of the fringe? I won't shut up about it.

Did anyone pick up what the lady said before the final vote? Sounded like, "you gotta let them do what they wanna do," but there was something before that...like "you got the vote." Not sure though.

Guess his teleprompter said aye too.

Hating is counter-productive, and not very nice. You are certainly free to disagree with things. To briefly go into more detail, that statement does allude to the complexity of these issues. Being Jewish is not equal to being Israeli, or agreeing with everything the State of Israel does. In addition, AIPAC is also a separate entity, and not equal to beIng Jewish or being Israeli. One of the ironies here is that in Israel, say, in the Knesset, issues such as the location of the capitol can be discussed freely, and disagreements are simply disagreements. US politicians do not enjoy that freedom. The subject matter of the Convention floor vote is one issue, and the complete disregard for the rules is a separate issue. US politicians can freely address the subject of cheating.

Guess his teleprompter said aye too.

She said "You gotta rule, and let them do what they wanna do." She then started to tell him how to rule. She said "Rule..." and trailed off. They were both looking at the Teleprompter, so the implication is clear; read the Teleprompter and rule like it says.

The consensus in the mainstream media seems to be to ignore or cover-up the cheating, or to call it routine procedure to ignore "no's".

John Roberts on Fox did a report on this. He claims that Villaraigosa was just confused, and didn't understand Parliamentary procedure. Roberts claims that the procedure is to call for the vote, and then to say it passed no matter what happens.

Any experts care to comment?

(I just realized, we can call this "Roberts" rules of order.) ;)

Roberts is a stooge. No talent

On CNN, Paul Begala attacked the people who voted "no", calling them embarrassments and stupid, and said that the Democrats don't need them. He is defending the cheating, and is happy they did it!

Begala is a HUGE donor to Obama's Super PAC. It's pretty easy to deduce that since most Jews vote Dem that AIPAC would be putting pressure on the President and the DNC to get their issues in the platform.

I so want a tube of that to send to Ben Swann.

It aint like palestinian-minded or muslim voters are welcomed in by the GOP either, so no real loss for the dems.

OMG, Paul Begala is a disgusting piece of crap! He is attacking the people who voted "no", calling them embarrassments and stupid, and said that the Democrats don't need them. He is defending the cheating, and is happy they did it!
Paul Begala is a Libtard Nut!

A July 15, 2005, CNS article claimed that Begala said that Republicans wanted to kill him and his family. Begala vehemently denied this, claiming that when he said, "They want to kill me and my children if they can," he was referring to terrorists, not Republicans. CNS refused to retract the claim, insisting that "[t]here was nothing unclear about what Begala said." Then-CNS editor in chief David Thibault challenged Begala for his "unmistakable and outrageous coupling of terrorists and Republicans."

What really gets me is they are TOTALLY IGNORING that the same thing happened at the RNC, and that the ISSUE is not God/Jerusalem, but the DISENFRANCHISEMENT OF THE DELEGATES.

They were BOOING the disenfranchisement. DUH.

Since when do politicians or the media let the truth get in the way of valuable propaganda?

The crazy part was that the panel (Blitzer) was talking about the fact that the "noes" had it, and Begala started saying how stupid that was. At first, you think he is talking about the blatant cheating. But no, he is attacking the people who voted "no".

You will love this. Currently on the front page of the Fox website:

Democrats at Odds Over How God Made His Way Back Into Platform

In God We Trust — four words that speak volumes about America's values, yet Democrats booed and shouted 'no' when His name was restored to the party platform, and now can't agree on how or why it happened.

That's exactly how it happened. Shameless liars they are.

Any logical person would think that to rectify this major blunder they would just reconvene the people and remove the amendment and then vote on it again with all delegates present. That place was empty as hell at that time. I think if they do that it will show the 2/3'rds support and will also show the democrats true moral value of honesty.

If Villaraigosa had stood on the side of integrity, he would have just said "the noes have it" after the first vote, and moved on. They could then plot their next move in the smokey back room. Villaraigosa was interviewed this morning. He is unrepentant, and is now completely defending his choice to cheat.
