Black people commit violent crimes at higher rates – per capita – than any other group in America.
It’s important to discuss this without calling people bad faith, racists, or liars.
Because this problem hurts everyone – and black people the most. https://t.co/L1aGVzvYCg pic.twitter.com/a2x9KCM6Zc

The Uncomfortable Truth: Disproportionate Black Crime Rates in America Exposed
In a thought-provoking video (Above), a Black man sits outdoors, candidly addressing the elephant in the room: Black Americans commit violent crimes at higher per capita rates than any other racial group in the U.S. He critiques a response to conservative commentator Charlie Kirk by Garrison Hayes, pointing out factual errors while emphasizing that acknowledging this disparity isn’t racist—it’s essential for solving a problem that devastates Black communities most. The video, which quotes Senator Cory Booker’s praise for Hayes, calls for honest dialogue without knee-jerk accusations of bigotry.
This raw admission from within the community underscores a crisis long highlighted by conservatives: Crime statistics reveal stark racial imbalances that liberal policies and cultural excuses only exacerbate, leading to needless suffering and societal decay. Conservatives have consistently argued that ignoring these disparities fuels more violence, not less. According to FBI data from 2013—the last fully detailed stats available—African Americans, who comprise about 13% of the population, committed nearly 54% of all murders where race was cited.
This isn’t an anomaly; it’s a pattern. In 2021, Black men were roughly nine times more likely to be murdered than white men, with the vast majority of those killings perpetrated by other Black individuals. National Review highlighted this grim reality, noting that while whites are 2.3 times more likely to be murdered by Blacks than vice versa, the intra-racial nature of Black homicides means the community bears the brunt.
Compare this to other races. Whites, about 60% of the population, account for around 46% of violent crimes, per Bureau of Justice Statistics. Hispanics, roughly 18% of Americans, commit crimes at rates closer to their population share, though urban gang violence skews numbers higher in some areas. Asians, at 6%, have the lowest rates, often cited as a model of cultural discipline and family structure. Fox News reported that in major cities, Black males overwhelmingly dominate homicide victim demographics, with rates seven times higher than whites.
In 2022, Black homicide victimization was at 25 per 100,000, dwarfing the white rate of 3.5.
(Data compiled from FBI Uniform Crime Reports and Bureau of Justice Statistics)These figures aren’t just numbers; they represent lives lost to preventable chaos. Between 2019 and 2020, murders of Black Americans surged from 7,484 to 9,941—a 33% spike—largely attributed to “defund the police” movements that crippled law enforcement in Democrat-run cities.
Fox News experts slammed activists for ignoring this bloodshed, noting that while BLM protests raged, Black communities paid the price with thousands more deaths. In cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, and Baltimore—where progressive policies reign—homicide victims are disproportionately Black, often over 80%. Liberals blame systemic racism or poverty, but conservatives counter that these excuses ignore root causes like family breakdown and cultural glorification of violence. National Review debunked the poverty myth, showing that even in high-crime Black areas, racism and over policing don’t explain the disparities—cultural factors do. Illegitimacy rates among Blacks hover at 70%, correlating strongly with criminality, as fatherless homes breed instability.

Welfare programs, starting in the 1960s, shattered Black families, replacing fathers with government checks and perpetuating cycles of dependency and crime. Harvard economist Roland Fryer’s study found no racial bias in police shootings—Blacks and Hispanics are actually less likely to be shot than whites in similar situations—but more likely to face nonfatal force. This challenges BLM narratives, as police killings of Blacks (about 25% of total) align with crime involvement, not racism.
In 2015, twice as many whites as Blacks were killed by police, yet media focus skews the perception. Interracial crime tells a lopsided story. Blacks are far more likely to victimize whites than vice versa, with whites 2.3 times more at risk from Black perpetrators. In robberies, Blacks victimize at 75% higher rates than whites. Yet, intra-racial crime dominates: 91% of Black victims are killed by Blacks. This self-inflicted wound demands cultural introspection, not deflection to “white supremacy. “Conservatives like Charlie Kirk argue these stats highlight failures of liberal governance in Black-majority cities, where soft-on-crime policies let predators roam.
