Differnt Strategy When Calling into a NeoCon Radio Show

Hey, I got this idea when thinking about how well Colbert makes his guests look like fools.

Call in and say that you are a Giuliani supporter that is pissed off at terrorist sympathizers. When you get on the air, take the assumed position of Rudy or his neocon pals like Hannity and criticize Ron Paul and his "blame america" rhetoric. But take it to the extreme so listeners can understand just how flawed that thinking is. Colbert often does this.

For example: "I just can't stand Ron Paul and his blame America first ideas. I didn't actually watch the debates but I've heard all about it on Fox News and can't believe that he thinks we deserved 9/11 and that the American people are at fault. I am sure that he tells his grandchildren how much he hates them every night before they go to bed because they contributed to the deadliest attack on American soil. It would be one thing if that windbag was blaming American policy or had anything to back up his claims with, but he just flat out hates the American people. You can see it in his eyes, I'm sure he wants to become President so that he can try to ruin our great country."

They can either agree with you in which case they are so brainwashed that there is no hope for them, or they will start to realize how absurd the argument is.

Not over the top enough for my taste..

I'd go with someting like: "Guliani and Fred Thompson are the only guys committed to turning that region into a glass parking lot. We should all support such conviction. This is a clash of civilization people. They are the only ones to understand that Iraq bombed us on 9/11".

Heck, you may even get them to defend Dr. Paul... there is merit to what you say... :D

"A house divided against itself cannot stand."

Does not strike me as a way to gain supporters because Neocon listeners will actually agree with you (so many of them didn't understand that Colbert was a satire for the first like 6 months that he was on TV), and even the people who see what you're saying will be more likely to support a candidate like Thompson this early in the race when nearly no-one has any blemishes or negative attacks against them.

At this stage we need to be focused on getting independents, libertarians, and moderate democrats to switch over to the revolution. Get them involved in the grass roots and get them to register Republican.

When the campaign heats up closer to the caucuses and positions are more clearly defined, Ron Paul will emerge as a clear victor. He will gain support on his anti-war stance, and with his support he will stand a good chance at converting the GOP voters who feel kind of 'meh' about the rest of the candidate choices.

FOR NOW, neocon radio shows should not be on our agenda. Not only is it a misuse of our resources which could go into creating more fanatical netroots supporters out of independents, but if this were to be a major thing it would give more ammunition against us supporters by saying that we are purposely deceitful, on top of being evil evil evil web spammers.

Just my 2c!

necons are too dumb to understand satire. We should be calling Glenn beck though and talk about the constitution.

I just want to know one thing.

Why hasn’t Ron Paul been Pat Acted, detained at Gitmo and tortured?

Modern tyrants don't resort to such obvious tactics unless they are completely backed into a corner, have no other alternative, and think it won't backfire on them.

I think if they were to try that right now, there would be some major blowback against their interests.

I don't know why we haven't just nuked them already. Clearly these people are savages that don't disserve our respect. We should lock the liberals up too, they are dangerous and traitors... It's just like Rudy said, freedom is about authority. We must all bow to authority or we are terrorists to the state. /neocon

The idea of the thread is to come up with extreme posts/arguments for the Neo-Cons to either defend or refute.

To bad that there wasn’t a patriot act back in the days of Benjamin Franklin. I’m sick of having to counter the whole liberty VS security argument.

Eff him and Ron Paul.

those damn ragheads are breeding like flies, their population will double in 10 to 15 years and with the oil running out they will swarm over the world looking for food just like they did when that pedophile mohamud was around.

we have to stop them now to save western civilization and our freedoms. we should nuke their cities, then blockade their ports to starve them to death. we should follow G_ds instruction in numbers 31, kill every man, boy and woman who has ever been with a man, save only the virgin girls.

we must protect our freedoms and take back our oil that they stole from the people of G_od. people like ron paul are insane if they can't realize 9/11 changed everything. we must be willing to give up the bill of rights and the constitution in order to save our freedoms. 9/11 proved that if we don't fight them over there they will attack us here because they hate our freedom and the fact that we let women walk around on the street in mini-skirts.... hey now what a minuite, i just had an idea. let's say we make george w president for life, no more freedom for them to hate. and we could make all the women wear burkas and stay in their houses. then we could really be safe, and isn't that what freedom is all about, being safe.

I can't believe some no-name like Ron Paul would give Giuilani homework about FOREIGN POLICY. I mean, seriously, all we need to know about foreign policy is that 'they hate us' and where the big red button is located. No more thought required! I mean, can you believe some people actually want to step back and THINK about the issue and that it might have a little more depth? Now is not the time for thinking! It's time for pressing that button, over and over again. And the ones that escape, well, we'll have to torture every last man woman and child to verify they aren't hiding any WMD anywhere. Even the ones who can't speak yet, just in case they might be able to point. Can't be too careful with these towel heads, ya know.

After we're done with Iraq we need to fire up the draft so we can make some of these lefties can help us out with Iran. Repeat the process once again. Then I can go back to my shell of ignorance and watch TV during all my free hours as I slave away to pay for all of this.

Too much? Heh, I doubt you'd make it half way before you were off the air...

That kind of satire/sarcasm Colbert does is very difficult for people who don't do it for a living. Your example is not even close to what Colbert does. Though, if there is someone in our midst with that level of talent I would not fault him for this approach.

Believe me they wouldn't get it. The listeners of this tripe would just think oh he agrees with me!
