Did you guys see Alex Jones on the View just now?

Most people will laugh this appearance off, "Hah hah, who was that loon? When is Beyonce' gonna be on?"

A significant minority will not, they will take a minute or two to go to Infowars.com, or google AJ's name, or what have you.

*Gasp* - They might even look into Ron Paul...oh the upset...

And by just doing that, you have launched a person on a road of discovery that they may never be able to turn away from.

+1776 to Alex Jones for being bold in the face of polite opinion, and for having an uncanny knack to turn lemons into lemonade.

Matt, you don't know what you're talking about. Sorry but you don't. I'll bet you 5 beers that AJ is on another national MSM interview before you are and I don't drink. ;) Further I don't see why you think he was being an "ass". He got out Sheen's talking points about the producer of the show. (I don't know if that's true or not, but those are Sheen's talking points). He attacked Bush on the sly, which is always good for The View's audience. He got in a jab on the TSA which made Whoopi uncomfortable. (I wish he had called her out specifically, but I guess he decided to be nice). And he gave an alternative view (no pun intended) on Sheen's mental state. And he did all of this without yelling. (Major accomplishment for him). Good job Alex.

Alex is a MORON!

Here he just scored one of the biggest media interviews ever in his life, and he comes across looking like an ass. PLUS every news producer out there saw him behave in that manner and will NEVER invite him to be on their show. EVER.

If he had acted like a normal human being and just talked about the pain and suffering of Charlie and how him and Charlie share a lot of anti-governmental views and that anyone who wants to hear the full interview can do so on infowars.com and been calm and agreeable then it would've worked out.

Instead he just pissed away his chance of EVER being taken seriously by the MSM or landing another major interview.

What an idiot.

Well said!

www.InfoWars.com ranked #1 "Alternative News Site"

http://deathby1000papercuts.com/dbkp...ruary-20-2011/

If you called Infowars a "conservative" site, using the same three month average Alexa rankings, 2200, it would be fourth, beating, by hefty margins, Limbaugh, Red State, Free Republic, Reason, Lew Rockwell, WND, Washington Times and Beck, just to name a few.

http://deathby1000papercuts.com/dbkp...-january-2011/

Among "liberal/progressive" sites, Infowars would be 15th, beating out well know names like Daily Kos, DU, Rolling Stone, Media Matters and MoveOn.

Note, that in this list they include some "heavy hitters" like the NYT.

Wow, always amazes me how there is so much hate here towards AJ. He provides an alternate to the MSM crap and has been a constant supporter and promoter of Ron Paul and his philosophy.

I think it goes both ways. People may be turned on to the liberty movement and Ron Paul by AJ's rants, but I suspect many more will be turned off to it if they associate Alex Jones with the movement

Many people don't go for the loud, obnoxious, and self-promoting radio hosts (though these things can be hilarious to watch). His demeanor may turn more people off to Ron Paul if they associate Paul with him. Think about it: if you are trying to change the hearts and minds of a neo-conservative or liberal and introduce them to new ideas, Alex Jones may very well be the worst person possible to start with lol. I'm sure a liberal trying to explain their core principles to reasonable, open minded people wouldn't want to start with Keith Olbermann or Markos Moulitsas as a spokesman

Why not? Alex broke me out of the matrix.

I agree completely. However more than a small minority would look him up if AJ hadn't acted like an obnoxious ass. If he would get invited back to more shows by acting like a normal rational intelligent well-behaved civil human being then he would turn a lot MORE people out in his / our favor.

Meh, it's gotten us this far.

And it's worked well for me, I've handed out hundreds, if not thousands of his videos and had many, many, many people come back to me, sometimes years after the fact to comment how much that one video changed their outlook on things.

Which is not to say, if you don't care for him, that's somehow "wrong". Whatever blows people's skirts up.

But he has been a long time, tireless advocate for liberty, limited government, the constitution and Ron Paul.

And he has a very large and growing audience.

I see people like that on Bill Maher all the time.

Same thing on Beck or BillO.

You remember any of their names?

Didn't think so...

So I have nothing to lose and everything to gain? Does this qualify as a "meeting of the minds"? ;):p

Further I don't see why you think he was being an "ass".
The first part was decent. But wondering off topic in a belligerent and random attitude is rude and perceived of as crazy. My first thought was "this guy is unstable and hasn't taken his meds today". It's exactly how / and why he gets written off into the "irrelevant" corner because of his behavior like this. Again, I highly doubt he'll be doing any major media interviews again in the near future after his antics. He basically tried to hijack their show, hosts and producers HATE it when guests do that.

If he could behave rationally then he would be invited on a lot more shows I'm sure. Michael Savage is kind of the same way.
