Rick Santorum Did Santorum almost call Obama the N word?

He definitely says "We know, we know the candidate Barack Obama what he was like, anti-war, government nig... ah, the ah, America was a source for division around the world..."

Maybe he was trying for Government negotiator?

Oh noes! Obama was anti-war?

I don't know what he was trying to say but I seriously doubt it was the n-word.

Original full length video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzyvo8SKa0M&feature=related

go to 34 min 20 seconds into it and you'll see this is actually what he said.

Yeah. It doesn't matter though. Months ago Santorum was able to convince voters that he was really talking about "blah people" when he clearly said "black people". What exactly is a "blah" person anyway? Heck, I'd be happy if Santorum was held to account for telling the truth about Iran at a small campaign stop but then lying about Iran in the debates. This still only has 1,471 views over several months. But the "call Obama the n-word" has over 2,000 views in a few days.

What does that say about our nations priorities? :(

I didn't catch that the last second of this video was a loop - I thought he really lost his junk!

Overall I don't think there is much to see here. He adds weird syllables and wrong words into his speech all the time, I think this is just one of those occasions.

Do I think he was going to say the N-word? Yes (Unless you can think of another word that starts with nig) Is it going to make his supporters leave him? No. He gets most of his support from the South and many of them would love it if he actually said it. Some people who are against Obama could care less if a Dem was in the WH as long he's white.

I'm not sure what he was trying to say, but I doubt he was about to say ******. But then again, it is Santorum...

What was he going to say? That knicker? He wouldn't have stopped in the middle of the word, compose himself, and then continue with his speech if he didn't almost say something he wasn't supposed to.

True. I don't know, I just have a hard time believing somebody would be so stupid to even consider using that word in the midst of a campaign speech. But I'm probably overestimating Frothy.

It could be a campaign tactic to get liberals to attack him for almost, but not quite, saying the n-word and ride the right wing backlash wave. That seemed to work when he said "blah people".

Rick Santorum, for all his faults, is someone I believe does speak off-the-cuff enough that he might believably make a mistake like that.

I've said this before, part of Santorum's appeal is that, outside of Ron Paul, Santorum is the only other GOP candidate who SOUNDS like he's speaking spontaneously without a filter or pre-programmed words. I think he's actually a pretty talented politician in that respect, it's just too bad he's using his talents for evil.
