Did anyone else not watch the inauguration?

I didn't watch any of the program. Well, honestly, I did see parts of the parade when I watched Glenn Beck today waiting for Ron Paul to appear.

nope, i did however watch the clock for 12:00 and took a poo at that moment, thats how i want to remember B.O. being sworn in :D

I happened to watch it cause it was played in every class, but didn't pay much attention. I just imagined sitting there in four years watching the doctor getting swore in.

One of the guys in our office, who's really not interested in politics at all, was going nutz trying to find a radio station that wasn't broadcasting any of the inauguration but playing music...it was quite amusing to here him cursing the radio. :D

My work had us set up the auditorium with streaming video of it for employees, so they didn't kill our network with loads of streams at their desks.

So, I had to stay and watch it in case the stream went bad (we had a few backup sites ready).

While working, we were discussing this fact about just how much money was being wasted today in lost production time, private and public, due to all the 'hoopla' in DC coronating a new king. Just think of all the gov't employees that had nothing to do with the inauguration yet were using their time to watch the fiasco while eating up more tax dollars. I wonder what was the real cost of the inauguration if you take into account these figures?

didn't watch either, you'll be glad to know that i didn't have to sit thru it in any classes either

I watched most of the morning; the speech he gave was good, I thought, but they are just words.

What matters is the action behind the words, and at this point, I am quite pessimistic. However, being a somewhat religious person, I pray that God opens Obama's mind and eyes, and maybe he will change his tune and actually stand up to the lobbies and M-I complex (AIPAC in particular), and do some good.

Usually, I wouldn't give Obama any benefit of the doubt, but today I guess I did catch some of the emotion of the event (Bush finally leaving office, and a black guy being US pres) which made me have an atom of hope for the future.

Knowing how the system is, though...

Anything is possible, and God willing the possible will lead to more freedom, less status quo.

didnt watch it but did catch the 6 o clock wank job to obama and family. just makes me sick the most seeing the reporters interview these 6-9 years old kids and they start to say some generic BS that a kid that young has no clue as to what they are saying....like obama himself.

all the ....forget it.

didn't watch it. people told me that i should because it was 'historic'. my response, "what's so historic about yet another person with bad policy taking office?

Morbid Curiosity

Well I am Not a racist, but I know there are some hard core ones out there. I tried to watch it from my computer ONLY out of Morbid curiosity!

I honestly thought someone would take a shot at him . . . Not that I wanted that to happen . . . I honestly thought there was a good chance of it happening, and I wanted to witness history. Especially with how FUBARed the world is now, it was totally possible. Then I imagined civil revolt and the dormant clauses of the patriot and homeland security acts invoked . . . the 20,000 man strike force pours onto campuses and into strategic towns . . . needless to say, I tried to watch so that I could get a head start on my Bugout plans! I was ready to rock and roll! . . . yea, I always over react like this.

Well so many people were watching from their computers that I couldn't get a stream, so I gave up.

So NOPE. Didn't see it.
