DHS seizes fellow RP supporter's kids with NO investigation!

My cousin's wife was arrested about 3 months ago. His child was put in "temporary" foster care and been there ever since. He is having to get a lawyer just to get his summer visitation.

look at the links I posted before. the CPSWATCH legal team is pro-bono. There are also forms on the sites for petitioning for visitation and exerting parental rights - meaning no school decisions, no doctors visits, etc without your OK.

Someone asked, "How do you smoke in a swimming pool?"

It's very easy. You stand up in the pool, dry your hand, and light the cigarette. Or, you can light the cigarette and walk down the stairs into your pool

I do it all the time.

And, who knows the circumstances. Maybe she had a lit cigarette and turned and bumped into her kid. Accidents happen.

When I was very young a aunt burnt me in the eye with a cigarette. In the eye! It happened over the Christmas holiday.

She was helping me make cinnamon toast. MMMMM cinnamon toast. We were in the kitchen watching the sugar heat up on the white bread slice in the toaster oven. Mixing with the cinnamon and butter it began to bubble. Bubbling is good because that means when it is taken out and cools the sugar solidifies and gets crispy. MMMMM crispy.

Well she was standing behind me. In those days people smoked everywhere. Even in houses! I was about waist height and had to stand tippy-toed to look over the counter. I turned around quickly and as her cigarette was at the right height it burned my eye.

My dad was ex-Air Force so we went to the base hospital. The doctors there washed out. Gave my parents cream and bandages.

It was kinda cool after it stopped hurting. I got my first set of fatigues as a Christmas presents and the eye patch, I was assured by friends, looked cool.

If this had happened today I don't think I would have had a normal childhood.:(

I know this lady and she always seemed nice. I used to lead the Ron Paul Meetup in the Mid-South and she was a party of it. I never thought of her as the type that abused children. Taking the children away seems way premature to me.

I wish Suzanne well. It's too bad she didn't move to New Hampshire, I know I laid out a good case to her. She would have many times more local support in NH. Hopefully, the AR and Mid-South support will be enough!

Short term victory - but it's not over....

Good news everyone, We finally have our kids back in safe hands. After finding a damn good attorney who actually gives a rats ass and $2,000 dollars later they are back safe with their grandparents at the moment. We went and filed an Emergency Custody Petition to give custody to my folks in order to keep them out of Foster care. The judge signed the petition and DHS returned our children as of 7pm CST. Thank you everyone for your suuport and prayers and all you have done for us with your kind words. May God Bless each and everyone of you. Thanks and Take Care all.

Much Love & Blessing's

My apologies I didn't see the above post. I am just so glad to hear the news!!! God Bless you all!!!!!!

Update:

Just in case someone hasn't heard. Suzanne was able to get all 3 of her kids back!!

She hired an attorney (for $2,000!) who knew how to work the system and she and her kids are reunited now.

Folks let this be a reminder to all of us that what Alex talks about on his show every day IS REALITY and IS COMING TO OUR DOORSTEPS!

We have nowhere to run, we have a right to be angry!

Sooooo....no one's asking about the cigarette burn part?

This sounds like an abusive situation, parents or State. Poor kids.

Or, the child could have walked or run into a parent's lit cigaarette totally by accident, and it was misconstrued, or deliberately misrepresented to DHS.

Just another possibility. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

I think if there's an issue with a parent being abusive, then this should be in criminal court.

...I honestly don't think that young adults (14-17) need to be protected from normal consensual relationships by the govt., but they should be protected from violence and abuse.
I agree. The place to start would be with their education. Somewhere around the ages of 10, 11, 12, older children should start having instructions what their, soon to be, adult rights are and how to cope/handle life situations. They should begin understanding that they have the final responsibility for their own lives.

I'm still trying to figure out what the DHS has to do with this case in the first place.

What does this have to do with Homeland Security?

not Homeland Security
Human Services
they have so many Departments now the Acronyms are overlapping

Oh thanks for that info.

I wish people would forget to use the acronyms and just refer to the long name.
This all gets so confusing.

Update:

Calvin McHenry As of 3:15 CST the Marion Police dept came to my door to interview me and my wife. I did not give a statement without legal reps being present first. Neither did my wife. The detectives called for a transport car and had my wife hauled off to jail. They said she was charged with battery which is complete BULLSHIT !!! ( Sorry ). I asked what was going on and was told to shut my FFFING mouth it wasnt my buisness.

Parents, remember: Instruct your child not to go blabbing what goes on at home outside of home, either to adults or other children. Big Brother is watching them! Teachers, pediatricians, and other professionals have a legal obligation to report any suspicion of abuse to the babysnatchers, and they are made to sit through seminars and workshops pounding this into their heads (listing "signs of abuse," the legal consequences for not reporting it, etc). Even many lay adults are terrific busybodies, and children can hardly be trusted to keep secrets.

My parents swatted me occasionally, when they couldn't get control of me otherwise. This didn't mean I wanted to be dragged out the door by a platoon of strange bureaucrats. My mother always warned me: don't go gossiping about what goes on at home or the social workers might be knocking at the door!

So she was arrested after refusing to answer questions without counsel?

No, she was arrested for battery, probably relayed to the accusation of the cigarette burn. They probably knew they were going to arrest her, and were just fishing to see if they could find anything else out.
