Derek Webb Supports Ron Paul

Derek Webb, Independent artist and former lead singer of the Mega popular Christian band Caedmon's Call recently said "it was his dream to see Ron Paul become President". This is paraphrasing from a friend who attended one of his concerts.

This seems to fit in with his thinking since Derek has continuously challenged the notion that "Jesus was a white middle class Republican".

This guy has alot of followers (I like his music) and is real good for the campaign.

WOW! I had expected this privately, but never thought it would become public. Derek is an AWESOME guy. Tells it like it is and is all about derailing the "party platform" of the christian conservative coalition and the gospel music association.

I had no idea that Derek Webb supports Ron Paul. Then today as I do my normal scanning of Ron Paul news online, I come across a nytimes blog talking about how Vijay Rajwani, who is running to be a Ron Paul delegate, first heard about Ron Paul while attending a Derek Webb concert.
Derek Webb is to the Christian music industry as Ron Paul is to the Republican party.
