I've still got one or two signs from the last election.
Just need to cross out "governor" and write in "senator".

She should run for the house not the senate.
You do realize that she lives in Ron Paul's district right? Running for the house is kind of out of the question...

Being a Texas state rep. isn't the ideal launching pad for a political career. She could likely become a TX state rep. That's what is ready for her, if she chooses to run. It's a great place to be.
Ron is probably going to be redistricted. It depends if she falls into Ron's new district or into a newly created one.
"The dramatic growth of the Latino and African American population is the only reason Texas is receiving additional congressional seats, and any plan that fails to add at least three additional effective minority opportunity districts would violate the Voting Rights Act," Veasey said.
The Mexican-American Legal Defense Fund also proposed an alternative map that produced two Hispanic opportunity districts, one along the border and the other in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Joe Barton, R-Arlington, has filed a lawsuit in a Corsicana state district court asking that the judge there draw new districts because the Legislature failed to act. The judge there has yet to rule on the request.
Seliger said he would prefer the Legislature do the redistricting, but admitted that any map would almost certainly end up in court.
"The federal courts since 1971 have always played a role in the final map," Seliger said. "If we get our map done and a special session done, there will still be someone who's not happy and will file a lawsuit. We accept that."
