Dear lord, this is a tremendous ad! [RevolutionPAC - September 19th, SUPERBOMB fundraiser]

My main concern is that their event is during Ron's end of quarter push planned to start on Constitution day, Sept 17. Grass roots, imho, should donate to Ron until they max out, and only then RevPac.

Who is being paid? I am not aware of anyone with RPAC being paid.

I don't think that is fair. It was their first project and probably they shouldn't have tried to turn it around that fast. If you recall, the majority of the problems stemmed from the fact that the great grassroots folks who did the ads didn't have permission for the pictures they had used in their ads. It's a good thing RPAC noticed it.

Oh, come on, Tarzan. That really is not fair. Ours does not have the massive corporate money that the ones you mention have. I personally am really glad that someone took the initiative to set this up for people who have already maxed out on the campaign.

I do share your concern though, that this is going to divert money away from the campaign. Dr. Paul asked us recently for 1.4 million dollars. I am not seeing anything done to raise that, but I am seeing this moneybomb for the PAC. That concerns me. The PAC must not pull money from the campaign. It should only be for people who have maxed out.

LE, the grassroots noticed about the copyrights and were discussing which pictures had them and which didn't, but it turned into a last minute jump through hoops event to have things that are easily available (such as stock photos with a price list) precleared in a single workday when a bunch who had worked on them weren't on the forums. It was poorly handled. I agree it might be a 'bad first encounter' rather than 'a bad PaC' however. Still, I consider Adam T etc more proven at this point in time. But since RevPac IS THE superpac we have, I'd like it all to work out. I also focus mostly on the competition with Ron's fundraising on this as the issue.

I think that will still happen, but for those who can afford to give more, they can now have a similar event.

I'm pretty sure everyone will give to the campaign first and foremost. Also, i don't believe Rev PAC is targeting small donors at all. I am inclined to believe they will be targeting wealthy donors as well as businesses that supports Paul.

You can guarantee that Gary Franchi is taking a check form RPAC. Donate to Mike Maresco, maresco.us. He's working on things that are VERY worthwhile.. something that will be rolled out after the straw poll. In any case, he could use the money for much better things than Gary Franchi's next starbucks purchase.

Oh for fucks sake, ....

RPAC is providing a very much NEEDED and VITAL method to get the word out on Ron Paul's 2012 campaign. In fact, no other organization would be able to do it. (Because it's the freakin' law!) The people involved in RPAC have already shown they are about kicking ass. I have absolutely ZERO problem paying these people a salary for their work. And I will be donating to RPAC FULL WELL KNOWING that I might be buying a $4 caffeine laden cup of coffee that keeps one of these guys going. BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING WORTH IT!
