DD summary and what the RD might be like

This is a summary after the debates so I didn't want to put it into the thread which had 8 pages before the debates were even over. Feel free to write your own summary so we all don't have to go through pages and pages of dialog.

I thought it was interesting but boring. The candidates didn't really come out with some great positions or great ideas. It seemed to me like run-of-the-mill politics to me.

I think Ron Paul is going to get as much time as Chris Dodd or Denis Kusenish. Rudy McRommny are so empty with ideas, Ron Paul really should blow the next debate out of the water, especially with the more relaxed rules of canidates talking between themselves. It should be a great opportunity for Ron to challenge Rudy.

Gravel didn't get a lot of time with the questions, but he is quite an extreme difference from the rest of the democrats and is not the 'Ron' of the Dems. Ron is strong on issues that all republicans can appreciate.

I really think that Ron can and will be a significant step closer to being a front-runner, if not already establish it in the next debate.


Overall, I liked the set up and the flow of the debate. The RD is going to provide a nice opportunity for Ron to shine. Whereas the democrats kept saying ' we have similar ideas and similar plans ', Ron Paul (I dare say) has a *drastic* difference that will really make him stand out. The only real question is if the American people are going to recieve it.

If America's not ready for Ron, then we really can't do anything about that. However, Tuesday should be a wonderful opportunity for Ron to show and explain his consistency, honesty, and great ideas in (what I think) will be a much better debate then the first two. I expect Ron Paul to make a major statment in why he has and/or will have the popular support among the GOP

I'll be watching Tuesday night's debate on pins and needles. I think that this format
will allow a more insidious trap for them to spring against Ron, like they tried in SC.

But it could also allow Paul to score some big points, like last time.

I hope Rudy throws a weak jab at Paul, and Ron floors him with an overhand right to a cheering crowd.

I dunno if it'll be that intense but it would be interesting to see. Ron Paul is the clear favorite among the 9 and with pre-madonna controversy, man, I'd love to see Guilani cry to the New York Times about the big bad debate beat down

Guilani is simply getting shamed, and honestly I don't want to see it go on for too long. I'm more looking forward to Ron establishing himself as a dominate player, I think that'll be far more entertaining to see.

To see Ron Paul start debating the democrat would be extremely entertaining to see.
