True but this isn't polls any longer. We just lost a state. Thats kind of a big deal.

Delegates are proportional.

Edit: Also don't forget what matters is whos people stayed after to become delegates.

It's a bit disappointing but, the turnout is the best we could hope for considering the standings. It's close enough that you can't spin it as a loss for either Romney, Santorum or Paul. Considering the support and money situation of the 3, it's down to Romney and Paul still.

It's not as good as a Paul win but, it's not as bad as it feels. This would've been an uphill battle either way.

Ron Paul being a top tier candidate is a victory, thanks to all those who worked so hard.

Anyone who doesn't see current impressive achievements of waking up so many people as victory does not understand how mass movements demanding radical paradigm shift grow.

Congratulations to all Ron Paul supporters for their hard work and impressive results so far !

RP movement has woken up so many people to open their minds to liberty ideas against all odds, this journey continues and race is wide open. Santorum will fade like Gingrich, Perry, Bachmann. Romney's support is consistently at same levels, Ron Paul's support is consistently and dangerously growing.

A little Iowa perspective:

In 2008, Romney got 25% of the vote.

In 2012, Romney got around 25% of the vote.

In 2008, Ron Paul got 10%.

In 2012, he got around 21%, more than doubling his support, while Romney remained stagnant.

In 2008, Paul lost Iowa by over 20%.

In 2012, Paul lost by about less than 4%.

Paul is dominating among the under 35 vote.

There's a lot of of win in there. Maybe not Charlie Sheen winning, but definitely some win

With 98% of precincts reporting, Dr. Paul is within 3% of first place. This should be tremendously encouraging to EVERYONE considering just four years ago he lost by over 24%... Momentum is on the side of liberty.
