Did anyone take photos at the precincts and should there be a recount?

Ron Paul in the top 3% leaves a lot of room for error.

Was any vote watchers taking pictures of the precinct count?

I watched the count on CSPAN in Urbandale, and it would have been very easy for someone to toss out some post-it notes and throw in some Romney/Santorums. Very easy. Even with the cameras watching.

This probably didn't happen at Urbandale, but it probably did happen in various places. It probably only cost us 1-2% at the most. Unfortunate, but to be expected. Cost of doing business, you might say.

I would say I'm sure it didn't but it does happen from time to time. Lawsuits occur and find it has been going on for 10 years or whatever. In most races that small number wouldn't be enough to matter but this was close, so if it happened, it would have mattered. But we don't want to throw out accusations that it DID happen just because it was possible to happen. That is insulting, and there is no benefit to it. But aside from the two counties flipping to Romney after there were 100% of the votes called in with Ron winning, I don't know that we have anything concrete to investigate, and I assume the counties flipped because of a recount and that Ron had someone there. If not, we will find out in due course.

But Ron came in a very close third, and that leaves us still with essentially the same number of delegates we would have had otherwise, so now it is time to focus on New Hampshire.
