Since it seems that Dennis Kucinich is our ally more or less in the battle to restore our Government, I wanted to take the time to address some of the criticisms that Ohio Republicans tend to disseminate about the man who's principals are bigger than his physical person.
If you've ever waged this war, feel free to post your results.

That sounds like the same kinda additude you ask us not to have toward Bush, rather blame all of his misdeeds and crimes on the Clinton Administration. Maybe your only willing to make excuses like that for Republicans.
According to wikipedia, the city was hitting rock bottom before Kucinich took office, thats why one of the central campaign issues for the candidates in that race was the selling of the "city's publicly-owned electric company, Municipal Light". Wikipedia goes on to detail how the banks and CEI tried to pressure Kucenich into selling, when the city of Cleveland actually had more to gain from the antitrust suit against CEI than it would have from the sale of Municipal Light.
"There is little debate," wrote Cleveland Magazine in May 1996, "over the value of Muny Light today. Now Cleveland Public Power, it is a proven asset to the city that between 1985 and 1995 saved its customers $195,148,520 over what they would have paid CEI." Kucinich's move also preserved hundreds of union jobs. In 1998, city council granted Kucinich amnesty, stating that he had "the courage and foresight to refuse to sell the city's municipal electric system."
Also Dennis Kucenich was not the only Mayor in office while the Cuyahoga River burned.
Fires plagued the Cuyahoga River beginning in 1936 when a spark from a blow torch ignited floating debris and oils. The largest river fire in 1952 caused over $1 million in damage to boats and a riverfront office building.[7] Fires erupted on the river several more times before June 22, 1969, when a river fire captured the attention of Time magazine, which described the Cuyahoga as the river that "oozes rather than flows" and in which a person "does not drown but decays."
That river was burning 10 years before Kucinich was even born, and 41 years before he took office. I can't imagine how that could be construed as his fault. Half a century or more of environmental neglect cannot simply be resolved in a 3 year mayoral term.
Thanks for making me more familiar with Congressman Kucinich's political history. learning is never a bad thing.
