It's not optimism, it's ignoring disinformation. They've been wrong, repeatedly and by a wide margin.
 
The reason why we do not want threads citing this is because it is fake. They did the same thing for NH and Iowa.

If Ron Paul get 2nd or even close to 2nd that would be awesome. Only thing that sucks is no matter how great he does the media will not talk about it.
 
This is actually really good. Even results from a few precincts can be extrapolated into fairly accurate final results.

edit: oops didn't realize they were fake/inaccurate to begin with.
