Countries with the most arrests for making a comment on social media.

UK 12,183. And you want your "peeps" to retake 'Merika? Also considering that the Federal Reserve was introduced by CONgress in 1913, taken off the gold standard in 1971, and the "Patriot" Act in 2001 - ALL BY WHITIES 😂 And now we're being steered into the WEF/U.N. Agenda with Public-Private Partnerships and all!

Not a good track record there, AF, seems your credibility just got way lowered 🤣

Here's to WEF White Supremist Nationalism!!! NOT.

Sure, I can't wait for more brilliant ideas from you 🤣

I dunno, are Jews considered white?

This is a terrible black mark on the UK. And absolutely destroys any attempt by anyone to say that the US is worse off than they are.

But is this number for China believable? I bet it's way worse there. Unless maybe the reason it isn't is because they already have enough control over what people can post on social media that there aren't many opportunities to post unacceptable comments in the first place.

I can't attest to the accuracy of any of it.

It's some guy on the internet.

But it's one of those things that sure sounds like it's true.

If I find the source of his numbers, I'll post it.

Yeah because we certainly don't need yet another Rachel Maddow

grok sez:

UK Arrests (12,183):
  • This figure comes from FOI requests compiled by the campaign group Index on Censorship and reported by outlets like The Times and BBC. The data indicates that in 2023, there were 12,183 arrests under laws such as Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 and the Malicious Communications Act 1988 for offenses related to online posts. This equates to an average of 33 arrests per day across the responding forces.

You can't really trust any of these published numbers in other countries.

If you don't have the right to bear arms there is absolutely nothing stopping them from arresting you for your speech.

So whether its self censorship, soft censorship, or hard censorship its guaranteed to happen as long as there isn't a balance of power.
