I don't necessarily agree that CO2 emissions are bad, but I could imagine the cost of this is enormous and we might be paying for some of it.

Good find. And we won't even talk about the sheer wastefulness of physical junk mail.

Now if we could find a study that shows how much dioxide is produced by cars waiting at intersections with a 'wait for the little green arrow' restriction.

A lot of spammers are actually victims themselves, just your normal mom and dad that dont know anything about computers period, they end up with viruses, those viruses turn their pc's into another additional pc in Botnet attacks. Those that control the Botnets are the REAL Spammers. And a lot are in other countries. The spam rates in the USA are high because of the number of PC's we own and number of completely stupid people as compared to other countries, where by a lower percentage of stupid people own computers.
