Continental Congress 2009. A new Revolutionary Gov't

On principle, I of course support this effort. Unfortunately, nothing will come of it because the delegates will have essentially ZERO credibility. There's no question all delegates will be true American patriots, who certainly deserve to attend such a gathering, but nonetheless they do not have any credibility to be taken seriously.

According to the website, each state will have 3 delegates. In other words, 3 people will represent a state. What's the most logical way for a state to select these representatives? Through a state-wide election. Have any of these activists ever won a state-wide election? Have they ever won an election within their congressional district? Have any of them ever won an election within their legislative district? Doubt it.

Who has won state-wide elections? Governors and Senators. If you logically wanted to hold a convention with 3 people TRULY representing a state, then it makes sense that the 3 delegates would be the state's Governor and Senators, as each has won a state-wide election. It doesn't make sense to represent a state with activists who nobody has ever heard of. This is why for the Continental Congress, delegates were elected by the people or by legislatures.

And let's not forget the type of people elected--lawyers and politicians.

I'm all for it too on principle...unfortunately I think it will go no where. I applaud the effort though. It will be a good dry run if anything.

these people have my thanks and we can give them credibility. what is credibility? just alot of people who believe in you or support you

we can support them, this is a sign of things to come

.

...and this brings up the point that any delegates chosen by the people of the several states would vote for socialist/Marxist delegates, thus we would be in the same situation we are in now. There is no way to get back to Constitutional principles except by force and total disregard of the will of the people.

Oh, the irony!

Had the colonies had a democratic election of delegates for the early meetings to discuss the troubles with england, they would have elected loyalist.
Very few wanted revolution.
Democracy sucks. Its requires a fully education populus, which is impossible.

These are conspiracy theorists who STILL suggest that Obama is ineligible to be President.

That rumor has been put to rest...at least for anyone who has done about 15 minutes of research

Funny, I haven't seen anything about him opening up his birth records, in fact, I heard he had them sealed.
Funny way to behave if your paperwork is genuine.

A birth certificate has the hospital, doctor, signatures, etc.
As in proof that you were born in certain place at certain time, delivered by said person.

One of these doesn't belong... can you pick which one?
(these are the kinds of questions they have on IQ test, so take your time and hurry up)

oh, and the cert # is blacked out for what reason?
Oh yeah, so you can go cross reference it.

Should I doctor up the document to show you I was born in Hawaii too?
I'll load up adobe if need be.

Then, we have him with a passport from Indonesia.
He had to be an Indonesian to get one... and since we don't allow dual-citizenship, he would have to give up his US citizenship, assuming he even had it to begin with.
