Shenanigans are happening at the Republican National Convention, and we need your help to protect your states’ delegates!

A proposed rule change would allow the Presidential nominee to “disavow” duly elected delegates and force the states to hold new elections to replace any delegate or alternate deemed unacceptable by the Nominee.

This would not only undermine the will of the electorate and give the presumptive nominee enormous power to block delegates with whom he or she disagrees, it would impose a financial burden on the state to hold new elections to replace the disavowed delegates. States would have to write rules to govern this newly imposed burden.

This would take power away from the state parties and put the Nominee in charge of determining your states' delegates. Some are calling this the largest power grab in Republican Party history.
There is a Minority Report being circulated that would stop this change. We need you to contact your state’s delegates serving on the Rules Committee. These delegates and their contact information is listed below.

Link to get the contact info available HERE. I just shot both mine an email.
Sorry if this is a re-post. Did a quick search and didn't see it anywhere.

but do we want the minority report or to go back to 2008 rules?

I'm not trying to break vote discipline, I just heard a rumor there might be support for that and if there is I don't want to undermine it, since it would be better for us. Do you know?

I don't know but this is the first I'd heard either way so I moved on it - time being tight I figure some action is better than no action. If I'm wrong someone please chime in and tell me.

I'll send an email saying the rules proposed are terrible and the minority report or even just sticking to current rules and addressing it in 2014 would be better.

Sounds good. It's probably best if they get varied feedback all equating to "the new rules suck, do something else" anyway.
