CALL TO ACTION:

If enough "republicans" call/email the Romney camp and tell him he should not attend the Trump debate I have no doubt that he will not attend (since he has already stated he doesn't know if he can make it):

FYI, Don't mention you're an RP supporter; concerned Republican voter should suffice.

Oh, and mention how Trump dissed the Iowa GOP earlier this year and Rove's recent advice that the GOP should discourage the event

His campaign watches this forum. They will likely laugh while deleting the emails.

It's really a win/win - either Mitt opts out and makes Trump/Newt look ridiculous, or he attends and makes himself look ridiculous.

After Rove's statement, Romney's attendance would only further distance him from the GOP establishment crowd. Additionally, I highly doubt any person participating in that debate will appear more presidential once it is over. If he chooses to attend it will only benefit our chances.

Mitt's not going, no way after what Rove said.

You can stick a fork in the Trump debate, it's done, not going to happen.

Another thought: If Trump is clearly working with the Democrats, then he is going to endorse Newt. If Newt gets the nomination, he will be absolutely destroyed in the general election. Romney is far more appealing to the general electorate. I don't think he'll win, but mostly because the fast-growing libertarians are only interested in Ron Paul and/or third parties.

If Romney knows his enemies, he should not go.

let him make his own decision. Have you seen the NH poll on this? NH thinks Trump is a sideshow.

I have read hundreds of comments from various news articles. I can only recall two positive comments about the Trump debate. They were both from Newt Gingrich. The debate is being lambasted almost universally almost without exception. Some people think it makes the whole GOP look like a joke others focus thier disdain on Trump or Newt. Regardless, you will be hard pressed to find people who think this is a good idea. I suspect both Newt's people and Trump's people are shaking their heads and hoping their psychotic masters come to their senses.

This debate will not happen with Trump. At best, it would be tweaked beyond recognition (like Trump being one of several panelists and taking a backseat role). My guess is Trump has to remove himself entirely or it does not happen. The same thing will occur for RJC. That level of blatent partisanship is incompatable with a debate.

Not a bad idea at all . . . to contact Romney . . . or any other candidates as a member of the Iowa GOP.

Tell them it is best for the GOP - older and the upcomer young Republicans - if the Donald is ousted as moderator for Iowa - period.

Tell Romney's office you were among the crowd at the Johnson County(Iowa) Holiday Inn back in 2007 when Romney commented . .
"I did not know that there were this many Republicans in Johnson County"
There are all sorts of Republicans in Johnson County, some are Physics professors and many others . . .

Tell his staffers he will lose any support he may have at the Univ. of Iowa if he gets sucked into the trumped "debate" . .

It is this moment of tenderness for the Donald with the Rudia Guiliani campaign that will cringe Iowans in the corn and cattle counties. . .

We need to go viral with this sort of stuff in Iowa . . .

just like we all did in June 2007 after the exclusion of the champion of tax relief Ron Paul from the Failor sponsored "debate"!

I was sorry to see that it was'nt ONLY Ron Paul but also Huntsmann who declined,I wanted it to be only Ron Paul.
