Constitution Day Moneybomb, Sep 17th. Planning, promotion and more promotion thread.

How much money can be raised very much depends on how well the Paul campaign does (mostly in debates and polls). Our "promotion" is not the most important IMO.

Agreed. I think there is a small correlation between promotion time and moneybomb earnings but other factors play a larger role in how much we bring in.

P.S. I get the feeling that there are a lot of folks that are pushing for moneybomb promotion yet doing little to promote the moneybomb. It's not all that hard and there are several things you can do if you'd like to help.

The 9/17 Constitution Day money bomb is critical for everyone to get behind, because it will be included in the third quarter numbers when the FEC reports them. If you really want to maximize the media impact of a big money bomb, make it this one. A money bomb in November or December might raise a little more, but the media can ignore those until mid-January, when the primaries will be upon us. Getting behind the 9/17 money bomb may well be the best strategy for attracting new donors to the later money bombs anyway.

I'm in the middle of gathering source video and pictures for my video....having trouble coming up with a theme

Well, my whole campaign in 2010 went for $26,000 but I'm going to need closer to $50,000 just for the primary in 2012 as I have made such waves with the GOP establishment that they will be doing anything and everything in their power to crush me in a primary.

ETA -- that doesn't mean I need $50k on Sept 17th mind you, that figure was for the 'whole primary'

Noted.

Let me ask you all something? Which money bomb date are you planning to send in your money to? If you had to stop and think about that, then may I make a suggestion? If you push 4 dates at once, none of them will be big. Not one. People will split their money 4 ways and that will make them all weak. Plus, it will really hurt the campaign to get the money so late in the game. Please, let's push one date at a time.

Agreed Paul4....let's push the Constitution date. September 17th. Now, can someone slap together a website that has the Constitution in the background, and a pledge counter, along with a way to track the sign ups so you can remind them? How hard can that be? I am not techy at all, so I can't do it. I can help write copy if you want.

monique the dates are a month apart, we will push one moneybomb at a time.
right now we are pushing for the constitution moneybomb. (Sep 17)
each moneybomb is 1 month apart, plenty of time, to gather people.

I am also attempting to work on a website and a video, lets keep updating each other and we should have plenty worked out by next week.

I would like to suggest that you collect pledges as opposed to having people sign up on a facebook event. We need someone reliable from the RPF community who can keep an email list that we can develop over the next few moneybombs.

To address those who are pushing for a november-december moneybomb: The campaign really won't benefit from these late-in-the-year moneybombs if the campaign fails to build momentum by that time. Think about it:

Imagine if the campaign doesn't have enough early money to bring itself to a media anointed "top-tier" status, which is only possible if we can somehow pull off some strong first/second place polling in one of the key battleground states. If they fail to develop this momentum, they will be destined to lose come January. Getting 10+ million dollars in November and December will only give us 1-2 months to change the political landscape... very unlikely. If RP doesn't get BIG cash soon, he can't win. That's why we need to keep the energy going with this constitution day moneybomb.

It would be most excellent if we could convince the campaign to get on this early and put up a pledges site etc...

The campaign can't do this. We have to do it. See, this is where you need a Trevor.

It's against the law for the campaign to coordinate with the grassroots for fundraising.

They could just take over....
All we need to do is promote it.
Anybody who can talk the campaign into starting setup for a 9/17 moneybomb?

all right if they can't promote it on facebook, can anyone tell me how to start letting the 500K plus on the FB know about it? is there a script or something I can use?

Here is the copy for the website:

It is time to return this country to prosperity. We need someone who saw this crisis coming and knows how to fix it. Ron Paul is the only man who has a thorough understanding of economics and knows what it will take to get this country back on track.

We won't be fooled again by pretty politicians who promise the moon but do not have the record to match their rhetoric. Ron Paul's voting record shows that he cannot be bought by special interests. His one and only allegiance is to this country and liberty. Ron Paul is THE champion of the constitution!

The mainstream media would like to make you think he doesn't have a chance. Let's show them they are wrong!! We don't need the media to choose our candidate for us. We know what we want!

We want Ron Paul!!!

Please pledge your support to donate on September 17th, also known as Constitution Day. Let the voice of We the People be heard loud and clear!!

Ron Paul 2012!!

(We ask you to pledge your support on this page but on September 17th you will donate to the campaign directly.)

This forum seems to have suffered a brain drain. There were a lot of highly skilled, tech-savvy folks around for the last campaign....either they gave up on Ron Paul or they haven't gotten involved yet. Where are you guys? :(

Facebook will block scripts and also if you copy&paste.(I know) we just need to do it the old fashioned way, wall-to-wall, if we start now.....
