So now the new strategy is to turn the discussion into insider-networked circle baby/parenting stories?

I get plenty of that on Facebook and suggest, for a better return on your attention-investment, that you play on instagram with that stuff.

You are a big meanie.

Nope- I don't think that anyone else's opinion even enters their mind; it is too numbed by the shrill of children in the background while they read facebook on their phone and look at pictures of their friends having fun.

You're making that up. Which is indeed trolling.

From my experience, maybe he's not.

My 2nd wife didn't care for our kids (2 girls) much at all. The marriage didn't last too long and I raised the girls. I really enjoyed having them with me (until they got to be 16, that's another story, but I'm still glad they were with me).

LOL - I was a 16 year old girl - no story required. But the dramatic flair was over the top. I still call troll.

I put mismatched clothes on my kid all the time just to troll the wife. good times.

Sadly, Kluge ain't trolling with the clothes--he really doesn't understand female clothing at all, especially the dumb stuff like how a lot of the shirts button in the back. But I can't fault him considering how asinine girls clothing can be.

It's not his fault. He's just a man.

Angela, as I become more familiar with your posts, I am now willing to bet that you are "calling troll" because you are reading my statements and some kind of vague and inexpressible knot of tension is compelling you to hate on them, but, your mind cannot find a means to do this in any rational way.

Can you really not even imagine a girl who hates having a kid...?

What does it cost to get a bus to la-la land? As I have no car.

So what? Should we be forcing people to have children?

Unless you define banning abortion as "Being forced to have kids", no.

I have to admit the thought of bringing children into this world with debt, wars, and politics the way it is now is a very, very scary thought. I look at how far this Country has fallen in 25 years and it scares me to death to think of another 25 years when my children will (possibly) be adults, and where we will be. Every parent wants their child to grow up with a better life than what they had - my question is, when will the time come that that's impossible... or are we already there?

I think its come, I think at best we can slow it down, not reverse it.

I don't think the quality of life is all that important. It's more important to ask whether living under the conditions of 2038 will be worse than not having lived at all. Do you really believe that life will be so terrible that people are going to regret being born in a few decades?

That's also my standard argument when it comes to third world country fertility rates. Some people say stuff like, "I don't understand why they would bring children into these conditions." Well, these people obviously prefer to live over never being born, or else they would all kill themselves.

If you love your children and can at least supply their very basic human needs then they are going to be happy to be alive.

In most cases, I'd agree. But in a 1984 society... I think I'd probably rather be dead. I'd also rather be dead than live in a Nazi concentration camp.

So while I'd broadly agree with this, I think there are exceptions to it.

I should note that I'm not intentionally factoring heaven into this, but I may be subconsciously.

Why is your username "BetterCallSaul" BTW?

It's from AMC's Breaking Bad. You must be the only person in America who hasn't watched it. It's rated M, so maybe you're not allowed to watch it.

The women who drown or murder their kids, or pick up and leave their kids one day, do it out of love and devotion I am sure.

Of course there are women who can't possibly be burdened with a whiny fussy little person that is totally dependent on them, just as there are plenty of "men" who can't be bothered with responsibility.

It isn't a concoction when their caricature straw-man opponent is Eduardo. His kind of dialogue scares women for legitimate reasons.
