“This is rope, not dope.”

Congressman Thomas Massie from Kentucky appeared on The Independents with the objectively beautiful anchor Kennedy to discuss the legalization of industrial farming of hemp in his home state. Massie complained that a farmer in his state is having to sue the federal government in order to have his seeds returned that the feds seized.

Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack today reported that he is attempting to work with the Department of Justice to allow the importation of hemp seeds for the purpose of cultivation. In addition to Massie’s home state of Kentucky, Colorado is waiting to hear from Vilsack about whether or not to proceed on acquiring seeds form Canada.

In the segment on Fox Business, Kennedy wondered if the DEA even understood that hemp is not even a psychoactive drug to which Massie responded by taking a big, fat bite of a hemp bar while simultaneously surviving the experience.

Here’s something you don’t see every day: last night on Fox Business Network’s The Independents, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) actually ate hemp on-camera during a discussion about fighting to legalize hemp-growing in his state.

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture sued the federal government over the state’s right to grow hemp, an effort that has drawn support from both Democrats and Republicans across the country.

Massie explained to the FBN show that despite Kentucky’s agriculture commissioner wanting to bring hemp to Kentucky and President Obama signing a law with a hemp amendment, the DEA confiscated hemp seeds and apparently want to know where the seeds will be stored. Kentucky is suing the federal government to get those seeds.

Massie then proceeded to eat a bar with hemp seeds on it, and said, “Ill be fine. I’m gonna be able to complete the segment. This is rope, not dope. It’s food, it’s oil.”

I would like to wish that on him,, but it won't happen from eating seeds.
There is no THC content in the seeds.. There are plenty of nutrients however.
