Congress Investigating F-35 Failures:

Hopefully, the F-35 program will never change.

The worse America's weapons systems perform, the safer Americans will be.

Something tells me that the F-35 is following the path of the Mark 14 torpedo.

The strikes that Israel made in Iran were done with F-35.

No other aircraft could have done what they did with that level of survivability in contested airspace.

The F-35 couldn't have done it, if Persia didn't have a warm climate.

The low in Anchorage Alaska on August 15, 2025 was 59 degrees Farenheit so what's your point?

Anchorage is definitely considered a cold place.

The coldest temperature in Moscow was 57 in August.

Tehran's temperatures were in the 100s in comparison.

The new b-21 stealth bombers are even more stealthy.

Anchorage is definitely considered a cold place.

But 59 degrees is not cold.

Okay. So as long as a war with Russia only takes place in the summer....

Tehran's temperatures were in the 100s in comparison.

That was @acptulsa's point.

That's nice. This thread isn't about the b-21. It's about the F35.

The f-35 made Israel win a war against Iran that they wouldn't have survived otherwise. That was the point I made.

Our airbase in Anchorage will be freezing temperatures soon enough and the F-35's will be fine even if they need a minor modification.

The ones that did the operations in Israel were heavily modified too.

Castle Drumpfenstein just sent 10 F-35's to Puerto Rico for the "drug war".

The f-35 made Israel win a war against Iran ........
Please show me of what war you are speaking.

If you are referring to the sneak attack against Iran, I wouldn't call a half inning winning a ball game.

And if you are talking about Big Orange's bunghole buster attack on Iran, I would consider the likelihood that Iran was preserving their air defense radars by not turning them on.

Neither of these events means that the Zio or Ziodon forces have military superiority, let alone air superiority for the long haul.

No war has even been won through air power alone.

Or ever will be.

There are plenty of instances where it has been done.

The USA's war against Japan was won through air power.

The bombings were done specifically because a ground invasion would have resulted in a tremendous amount of more Americans dying. So they canceled the ground invasion.

The USA also demonstrated this clearly in the Gulf war in 1990.

They were given a battle strategy at first that was completely air strikes but they rejected it for a separate war plan that was air strikes followed by a ground invasion.

By the time the ground invasion were to begin they were surrendering in mass. The term shock and awe was used to describe this effect. Iraq stopped invading Kuwait which was our objective.

The USA's war against the Yemen was all air power.

They didn't send in ground troops. They bombed the hell out of them with air power and they said they got them to stop shooting our ships which was our objective.

So Israel didn't win the war with Iran. Neither side was even trying to win an absolute victory. Iran proved the Iron Dome wasn't all it was cracked up to be and Israel failed to deliver a knock out blow to Iran's nuclear program so it called in the US. for backup. Iran doesn't want a full out war with the United States so it hunkered down and took the blow. The Houthis are STILL shutting down shipping in the Red Sea and Trump tucked tail and pulled out after a couple of near misses from the Houthis on an F35 and a U.S. carrier. In fact an F35 was lost to the Houthis because it fell overboard after the carrier was forced to take evasive maneuvers. If the Houthis can lock on to an F35, the Iranians can shoot one down. And that's before Iran got updated air defense from Russia and J10s form China.

There are plenty of instances where it has been done.

The USA's war against Japan was won through air power.

 Not through air power alone. Tell that lie to all of the marines who landed on Iwo Jima, the Philippines and other island strongholds. The only war that was arguable won by air power alone was the Bosnian war. And a stealth attack plane got shot down in the conflict.

The bombings were done specifically because a ground invasion would have resulted in a tremendous amount of more Americans dying. So they canceled the ground invasion.

So dropping nukes on Japan at the END of island to island fighting after Japan was basically already beaten isn't the same as winning a war from "air power alone." And nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki doesn't even count because we haven't used nukes before or since in war and WE CAN'T USE THEM AGAIN! Yes. If the U.S. decided to nuke Iran there is precious little the Iranians could do to survive. But that's a very real chance that Russia might nuke the U.S. in retaliation and it would be game over. Not to mention that the U.S. would become a world pariah. Furthermore F35s would not even be needed for a nuclear strike as that could be done with ICBMs.

A bunch of conscripts surrendered but not the Republican Guard. When the U.S. faced the Republican Guard they ended up with a tank on tank battle. Yes the U.S. won but it wasn't air power alone.

Wrong. That's the consolation prize Trump fed you after it became clear the initial objectives could not be achieved.

Under the Trump administration, the U.S. has taken a more aggressive approach to its attacks in Yemen. As part of Operation Rough Rider, the U.S. has targeted Houthi infrastructure and leadership to deter and “disintegrate” the Houthis, U.S. Central Command said Sunday. The White House has said the operation will continue until freedom of navigation in the Red Sea is restored. While CENTCOM has not provided casualty numbers, Houthi and independent organizations claim the number of civilian deaths has increased compared to the strikes under the Biden administration.

Operation Rough Rider launched on March 15 with CENTCOM strikes on Houthi sites. The Houthis resumed their attacks on U.S. warships, which paused when the Israel-Hamas ceasefire went into effect in January.

Since then, U.S. Central Command forces, which include the Harry S. Truman and Carl Vinson carrier strike groups, have struck at least 1,000 Houthi targets, according to a Tuesday news release from the Pentagon.

Despite all of the bombings, the Houthis were neither "deterred" nor "disintegrated" and "freedom of navigation" of the Red Sea has NOT been restored as the Houthis are STILL targeting ships headed to Israeli.

The United States was NEVER the primary target of the Houthi attacks on shipping. Israel was and remains the target and the Red Sea remains effectively blockaded with respect to Israel.

War doesn't just mean killing your enemy. Not all wars are waged using total warfare.

War is defined as "an act of violence aimed at compelling an opponent to act in accordance with one's will"

You don't necessarily need to kill every person that you are at war with in order to achieve your objective unless that is your objective.

Thats the only reason why we don't use nukes. The USA isn't such an asshole that they just want to just kill every single person who opposes us.

Especially if we can just convince them not to oppose us.

By that metric alone air power has won dozens of wars by deterrence.

Good for you and bad for the world, your childlike understanding is shared in the White House, Pentagram, and the zio foreign policy think tanks.

I suppose that you should compliment a child for their creativity even when it takes the form of brown fingerpainting on the shithouse walls.

Good job, Nikcers.

I'll even like your post for creativity.

Winning a war means meeting your objectives. Trumps initial objective was for "the operation will continue until freedom of navigation in the Red Sea is restored." That wasn't achievable so he negotiated a peace based on lower objectives. That's not a "win." It's a compromise. The Houthi's goal was never destroying U.S. ships but rather blockading Israel.

There's always something called strategic ambiguity when it comes to war.

Its never as simple as just announcing your war objectives.

A strategic victory can be obtained even by losing a military conflict. It doesn't make it any less of a victory though.

The saying goes "sometimes you have to lose the battle to win the war."

The media is full of people spinning the results of our wars as defeats because it sells but the truth is stranger than the fictional narrative they write.

A strategic victory can be well demonstrated in politics.

The Republican party which had died after the 2012 election was successfully rebranded and won in 2016.

The secret was that the Republican party paid Jeb Bush to lose in the primary.

He went on the campaign trail in Nevada and was asked if the Iraq war was a mistake and he famously said no it was not.

Then his opponent went on to say that the Iraq war was a mistake and went on in the polls to defeat him.

Then the Republicans went on to take control of the congress, the presidency, and the Supreme court.

Jeb Bush then loudly proclaimed that Sometimes you have to lose the battle to win the war.

Well look at what the Neocon Cliché-O-Matic was doing while the rest of us were spending Saturday evening having lives.

There's always something called strategic ambiguity when it comes to war.

There's no "strategic ambiguity" in this case. The objective was clear. End the blockade. It didn't happen. And even if your arguing that "Well U.S. ships can get through", guess who also has F35s? Israel. So until the blockade is over for Israel, you can't honestly say that the F35s beat the Houthis into submission.
