Congratulations Obama!!!

Even if he isnt my guy I still want to congratulate him on his landslide victory. I think everyone should even if they dont agree with him or like him. The losing team should always show at least an ounce of respect to their competitors.

We are not at war with each other and we shouldnt be. He is right, and wrong on many things, but one thing he is Dead On about is that we should stand together.

So Gratz!!!

(like he will ever read this post, lol!)

Sure I agree. But can't wait to say I told ya so!!!

I am happy Obama won.

1. The psychological effect on Black Americans will be a positive one for decades.
2. His money came mostly from small donors
3. The alternative
4. There will be no war with Iran. Of this I am sure.

And with that, I say adios to the Ron Paul movement, I think I would rather be in my ignorant slumber than have to tolerate the racist bile and bigotry and hatred that has infested everything here, just for a few kernels of truth.

interesting.....

interesting.....

You mods are great archivists.

This was before I was a truther. What do you know. I now believe it is a big corporate conspiracy.

Of course, if Eric Holder starts actually prosecuting higher ups for torture, I might start sipping on the kool-aid again.

and I still stand by number 1.

...and I still stand by number 1.

You have freaking GOT to be kidding me. Next you will be saying that Hitler provided a great psychological boost to people of German descent.

Obama will set race relations back two generations, and fill blacks that voted for him based on race with self-loathing.

No, I'm not.

the responses were interesting. I never did come back and read them.

That said, I remember a shit ton of racism here, especially from the birthers, and it was getting to be intolerable.

I don't think so. I don't think white people have any idea how hard it is for black people to really give a fuck about America, or "freedom", or "states rights" or "the presidency". I think the simple act of having a black man in there will at least give them the idea that maybe they to can be president. I think this will for many of them give them an interest in politics they may not have otherwise had.

as many people from my college would post on their political views:

"Yay obama :)"

So, your horse won! Great! Now, what did you win?

One hell of a highly visible 'glass ceiling' broken? Outstanding!

An end to racism as a result? But msnbc is using this to stir the racism pot for all their worth. That doesn't help.

Someone in the White House that represents you? Um, sorry...
