Even if he isnt my guy I still want to congratulate him on his landslide victory. I think everyone should even if they dont agree with him or like him. The losing team should always show at least an ounce of respect to their competitors.

We are not at war with each other and we shouldnt be. He is right, and wrong on many things, but one thing he is Dead On about is that we should stand together.

So Gratz!!!

(like he will ever read this post, lol!)

I'm torn about the results. I disagree with Obama on nearly every issue, but at the same time, I appreciate this truly historical moment. I love that in our society we have the strength to change for the better. To go from blacks having to give up their seat on a bus only 45 or so years ago, to having a black man elected to the highest office in the country. It's remarkable, so as a society we ought to be proud of that. On terms of his philosophy, thats a whole other issue to me.

The dark part of him is not primarily black, it's Arabic. He's just 1/8th black.

Heck, I'm 1/8th native american and I don't call myself an indian.

So we really do not have a "black" president.

And I'm 1/8th Irish / Dutch.

We are all still deserving of Rights, and Respect. I respect Obama for winning for his color, and I don't. What I am happy to see is that the majority of this country has been able to see passed Race and their own personal Bigotry and to focus on the issues.

Even if you and I are divided on the issues, and I expect we should forever shall be, we will not ever let the color of a persons skin, gender, or religion be the deciding factor in any election ever again.

So, again, congratz Obama! And congratz to anyone who voted for or against him based on the issues and not things that he has no control over.

+2008 !

YES WE CAN, YES WE CAN, YES WE CAN.........uh what.. you plan to continue the 'war on terror', increase military spending, expand the size of our government and continue to destroy our dollar?!? Oh well, at least he's not McCain who plans to do the exact same thing......... YES WE CAN, YES WE CAN!!

Well, I don't know if Obama deserves congratulations or not. Maybe Zbignew and the CFR...

Whatever. Congratulations to all Americans of color! The ultimate glass ceiling is lying in shards on the ground, and I happily join you in celebrating this momentus victory. While we decry the erosion of our liberties in general and the power of the people in these troubled times, there is still no denying that this nation is in many ways a much, much better place than when I was born. Evolution in societal attitudes is important--vital, even--and is a real boon.

As an old line libertarian, I can proudly say that I have voted for a person of color for president (though admittedly not this year). And while I have no joy in the prospect of the policies we will see the next two years, I am overjoyed at the silver lining of a major milestone passed with flying colors. Hooray!

/agree

Even in a fixed fight, one still congratulates the winner on their victory. I would have congratulated McCain, just to maintain the face of the facade, if he had won.

Freedom and Liberty: We still have a lot of work to do and our fight is not finished, not by a long shot. It will never be finished. Even if this had resulted in President Elect Ron Paul, or we had all won all of our freedoms back, we are not finished. Even with the defeat of the White House for Dr. Paul. We have a lot of work to do and many battles to fight. Some of those fights will be on the battlefield, for our Heroes, family members and friends, and troops and on foreign soil that I can only pray will make it home, and some will be in the courtrooms, we must always stand Vigilant against Tyranny and bring the good fight for the benefit of all.

"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

Thomas Jefferson

Please bow your heads in silence for a brief moment in respect of those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our unified belief. Of Freedom!

The terms "black" and "white" refer to which cultural group you identify. Therefore, Obama is black.

I would no sooner congradulate Hitler for his ingenuity in carrying out his plans.

Sorry, but I feel like the country is about to roll downhill.

Come to think of it, that was harsh, but I think it got the point accross: I won't congradulate someone whom I believe will do us harm.

Has 'Change Come to America'?

Thankfully not, his CFR wife with her 'Goat of Mendes' salute that the Knights Templar described as 'baphe+Metis'/Baphomet or "Baptism of Wisdom" is reaffirming to the cryptocracy that another of their 'enlightened' sock-puppets is at the helm once again.

Thinking maybe, "no, no, no it's the sign for love" look to occultist Helen Keller who created the hand sign system for the deaf and understand her strong convictions in Theosophy.

LOL

wait so you are saying that all it takes is a dream, a staged election and millions of dollars and I too can become president someday?

what an accomplishment, congrats obama, sure lol

he's an ass and the sheep that follow him can't be much better.

Obama is going to change the world!
Obama is going to fix everything!

Can't wait to see what all these sheeple do when obama ends up doing exactly what every other president has done before him, waste our money and take away more liberties. This time however, people are ASKING FOR IT. lol

I still don't get where the so called competition really is, is it the american public that lost, is it the republican party that lost????

With mccain or obama as president, I think we ALL lost this one.

I respect his win, and he honestly ran a much better campaign than McCain is competent enough to dream of. McCain's campaign was a disaster, and he had a chance to stand up during the bailout, but instead he chose to act like an erratic mess that needed to change his diapers.

I think America chose not to vote on race, or even on issues (this is what is sad), but on someone who shows some thoughfulness and intelligence. People equated McCain with Bush because he comes off as an incompetent moron.

McCain had an opportunity to show the American people how big government was the problem, instead he showed us how government would be the solution.
