Let's see if these end up being real town hall style events.

Stump speech + a few questions from the crowd does not a "town hall" make.

Ron did when he decided to be a "crank" (in the true sense of the word) and deliver his off-the-cuff stump speech last night instead of a real speech like Santorum & Romney did.

(I know I'm being a broken record, but being a broken record works because people on here email the campaign and Doug Wead and if enough people do, maybe Ron will actually adjust his attitude towards formal speeches... he's responded to our frustrations/suggestions before so I'm confident he'll come through and deliver a big speech eventually**).

**eventually = asap since Washington State caucus is this Saturday and super tuesday is 6 days away

p.s. your comment definitely made me lol. well played :p

no, being a broken record is a problem. You know how to email the campaign and Doug Wead and don't need to rant here. There is a subforum just for that purpose. This is a GOOD thing.

Also the desire for a prepackaged fluff piece you call a 'big speech' is hardly universal here.

Great!!!

Whether he gives a rally or a town hall that doesn't win votes. How many undecideds really go to a town hall meeting to figure out who they will vote for? A handful at each event? Most there will already have made up their minds. You can do that in New Hampshire where they expect it and you can hold 20 of these events.

But what he gains from these is word of mouth and LOCAL MEDIA attention. That's the big thing. And local media attention of 1000 people cheering him at a rally might be better than local media attention about 4 old ladies asking him a question.

I don't care as long as he's out there and getting in the media. I hope he goes out there tonight instead of Friday.

When it is right before the caucuses he is really rallying the voters and acting as a remote GOTV station.

I pee on my wheaties every morning.... that way... I keep things in perspective... beside... whose gonna pee on your wheatties if you do it yourself? I dont mess with people who pee on there own wheaties

Grassroots for Liberty could always use donations for identifying more Ron Paul supporters in Washington with robopolls, following up with volunteers and a call center and reminding via text message. We've identified ~3,700 so far. Unless you think Ron Paul has Washington in the bag (like he had Iowa and Maine in the bag), then more votes are needed.

Right now, Ron Paul supporters are being identified for about $1 each, text messages are $0.03 each, and live calls are about $0.50 each (since we're having to resort to a call center due to lack of volunteers).
