I think a lot of them just dislike Rand and weren't going to laugh at anything he said.


The look on the guy's face when Rand cracked the Newt joke was epic though!

I've never got the idea of politicians doing comedy. Although, the Newt line was money.

He had a few decent lines but honestly he came off like a Jeaneane Garafolo in most of his material. The funny thing to me was Rand's utter contempt for the beltway crowd and its decorum. It seemed like he was just taking shots and being controversial.

My guess is he was using the opportunity to go after people and make news doing it. If he gets a bad reaction he can just pull a Bill Maher and say "Hey I was just making jokes".

I think Rand really wants to run and going after Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich this way might be the opening shots.

That was my favorite part too! It's great that there is "one of us" up there as a thorn they can't escape.

I chuckled quite a bit during the whole thing though. And he zinged all our likely opponents (Palin, Romney, Newt, Obama) except for Huckabee.

Wow, I have not been here in ages.

Someone turned me on to this video of Rand at the C C dinner. I did a search and this is the first link that came up.

All, I can say is wow - what a mistake. Why in the world would he go there and - as I see it - make a fool out of him self like that in an audience full of Zio Neo Cons? It was hard to watch.

This will reflect poorly on Ron and have repercussions for Rand.
