That is proof that they are preventing youth from voting, not proof that, as you suggest, that it's stopping voter fraud. There is no evidence these students were going to vote in multiple states, but it's clear they were trying to vote once.
My point isn't that I know what they were trying to do. My point is that it prevented them from being able to do that. Whether or not they actually did vote in their home states was up to them, not me. But if they chose not to, they can't blame anyone but themselves.
