College Football 2017-18

Washington at Stanford late tonight . Basketball season is in full swing , Kentucky getting tested a bit , Duke , Tenn , Butler , Xavier and Clemson all cruising . Muh Hoosiers basketball season opens at home as 11 point underdogs to the Indiana State Sycamores who lead by 27 with 5 1/2 minutes to play . Sycamores have Brenton Scott who I think will be a very good NBA player . Sycamores shooting 66 percent tonight while the Hoosiers three guards are 4 of 16 from the field .

Washington may bury Stanford tonight. Washington looking to score again before half.

Muh Hoosiers hold ILL to 72 yards in the first half then give up a 77 yard td catch to the TE on the first play of the third , up 14 - 7 .

So far , looks like big days for Georgia Tech , Ohio State and Indiana . Hoosiers have to win out to make a bowl but I think they can , up 17 - 7 in the fourth on the road .

Rumors are , the UCLA three will not be flying home with the rest of the team . The shoplifters , unable to make california great again .Will be staying in China while the shoplifting spree video footage is gone through by authorities .

With Georgia trailing by 20 with 20 minutes to play , The Notre Dame - Miami game looks even larger .

Georgia 17 // Auburn 40

*sigh*

Yeah , I was not expecting that , I was expecting a close game . Clemson won third straight title today and Alabama may lose tonight so I think Notre Dame is sitting pretty if they win in Miami .

Well , I did not expect Notre Dame not showing up to play , was expecting a close game .

Bama finally played a real team , not overly impressive . So basically we are down to 4 unbeatens , Alabama , Miami , Wisconsin & UCF . Four one loss teams , Clemson , Oklahoma , Georgia and Memphis . Then six two loss teams , Auburn ,TCU , Notre Dame , Ohio St , Penn St , OK State . USC , Washington , Washigton St do not count and then really looks like every two loss team will be out . So , 6 of the season starting top 20 are in the remaining unbeatens or one loss teams .

So now the coaching deck is shuffling. What do you think?

Could anyone beg Les Miles to come to Tennessee? Tee Martin is already a very successful OC at USC. Would he think of coming on board as OC?

Whispers that Chip Kelly might be a good fit at Florida. Watching how he worked with Mariota at Oregaon I kind of agree. Maybe he doesn't want to leave the pros?

Mullen has been rumored for Tennessee. I hope he stays at MSU. He's too nice a guy to go to Tennessee.

It is a good job and they should hold out for who they want . If I was them I might try and get Mike Norvell , but if I was him I would stay @ Memphis .

Yeah, his name has come up. We don't really like Tennessee, but there was no doubt of their success under Fulmer. I think the OC position will be more important that the head coach. If they can get Tee Martin to come coach there, I think he could do a lot. People want Peyton to come back, but he's not a coach and probably wouldn't do it. I want him to buy the Titans.

Florida is a whole different story. They have a history of good HC/QB relationships, and a very speedy offense. They don't seem to be in that space right now and it's really not working for them.

I want Mullen to stay where he is, Saban to stay where he is (his coaches are moving on to good success), and Mason to stay where he is. Not sure what has been Vandy's Achilles heel, unless it's that they put all their eggs in the Ralph Webb basket.

The best part I think is that whoever takes it ( Tenn ) has a reasonable chance for immediate improvement which is not normally the case in a power conference . As much as they are paying these guys , they need to make sure they get what they feel is the right fit . Then you have to give them time to work . In the SEC or Big 10 you will be facing ranked opponents and well established teams every week . Kentucky has made strides and I think Vandy can too .

We thought Vandy had, too, but after their 4-straight to open the season, they kind of crashed and burned. They will finish out with Missouri and Tennessee. They should win one, or both of those games. Last year they really put down a Master Class against TN. They can do it again.

In basketball tonight #1 Duke beat # 2 Michigan State by 7 , # 5 Villanova beats Nicholls 115 - 77 , later tonight # 7 Kentucky and # 4 Kansas , I feel bad for the 0 - 2 Howard Bison this evening , after playing Indiana they are now playing # 17 Gonzaga , also tonight ( now ) # 19 Purdue and Marquette ( will be better defense in that game ) .
