Colbert slamming Ron Paul [Mod: Satire]

I don't know man. I didn't see where the humor was in that. You'd have to really try hard to believe he's being sarcastic there. Colbert's a liberal lefty, is he not?

If he's only being sarcastic and he actually likes Paul, it's going to be hard for some people to have picked up on that.

I agree, I knew it would come back to bite us when people found out Ron was blabbering on, like a crazy person, about hydrogen before the Hindenburg launched. Total hit piece.
 
This was so funnnnny...Colbert is always like that. It's very easy for people to pick up that he likes Paul because he usually disagrees ON PURPOSE with someone who he LIKES and vice versa.

This is not a hit-piece. If you watch Colbert a lot you would know :)

I think anyone with a decent amount of knowledge would recognize this as sarcasm. Colbert's audience has some knowledge, or they wouldn't get his jokes and wouldn't watch. So I'm pretty sure that most people who saw this understood. Colbert is pointing out that throughout history, when people speak a truth that's not ready to be understood, or seems farout, they're painted crazy. It's a shame that this is still true today.

Anyway, funny skit. But like Colbert said, it's really sad.

This is great. Colbert's whole show is a parady of the neocon O'reilly type shows. Anyone who would view this as negative would never be interested in this satire show. Watch a few other episodes, or watch this whole episode to see how it works!
