CNN projects Huckster wins the caucus

#1 issue for Iowa Republicans is immigration and they vote for Huckabee?? Are you kidding

I think Huckabee has it won, with Romney in second. We can hope for 3rd for Paul.

I think RP will go 4th but that still good. IOWA ARE CRAZY how can so many people vote for Edwars?

AND they just mentioned Huckabee's 'revolution'. I can not handle his preaching tone!

Ron Paul is still doing a-ok. Stay positive guys!!!! Go Ron Paul - we can do this.

I'm not going to be depressed in Paul comes in poorly here. A lot of voters are getting hooked on people promising 'change', while not actually saying what they'll actually do. I'll just have to accept that this country is full of idiots. 2009'll be a good time to expatriate.

Hopefully, though, my pessimism will prove me wrong.

THIS SHOULD be a warning to all the people that think the "Christian right" can be ignored...the "Christian right" are a bunch of sheeple that don't research their candidates and once they "pick" one, it is extremely difficult to change their minds because they think they are always right. Huckabee is USING his religion by GOING INTO CHURCHES and PREACHING! Something NO OTHER candidate is doing!

Also, this goes to show what "being nice" did for Romney. Romney should have attacked Huckabee's record like crazy and labeled him "TAX HIKE MIKE", but he played it "safe" and it doesn't look like playing it safe is doing him very good now.

I guess people want higher taxes, more war and loss of sovereignity.

I'm with you.

To put perspective to this, Iowa is a state full of well meaning dorks. Combine this with a caucus system that in imperfect in many ways, and you get the result that dorks vote for the most popular dork. Evidenced by Iowa seldomly choosing the eventual nominee. Think Pat Robertson.
