I don't want to link directly to the ProPublica hit piece, but I'm sure you've heard it by now. Clarence Thomas went on trips with his rich friend and didn't disclose them as gifts.

They're making a big deal out of it now, for some reason, but it's made Thomas respond:

“Early in my tenure at the Court, I sought guidance from my colleagues and others in the judiciary, and was advised that this sort of personal hospitality from close personal friends, who did not have business before the Court, was not reportable,” Thomas said in the statement. “I have endeavored to follow that counsel throughout my tenure, and have always sought to comply with the disclosure guidelines.”

If anyone can find the full, unedited statement from Thomas, there's a rep in it for you. But this seems like just another attempt to get him off the Court. They could literally do this to ANY judge or ANY politician at ANY time. They all have rich friends. And taking a trip with your friends doesn't seem like a "gift" that is meant to influence his decisions.

1/3 The recent disgusting attempt to discredit Justice Clarence Thomas is yet another inexcusable and blatant partisan attack, designed only to mislead the public and smear an honorable man.

2/3 Justice Thomas is a brilliant jurist who has served the American people with distinction, tirelessly defending our Constitution.

3/3 The repeated attacks on him and his wife, Ginni, are utterly shameful. Justice Thomas' accomplishments and legacy should be celebrated and cherished, not maliciously attacked.

If Democrats wanted Thomas off the court their best chance was when he was in the hospital last year.

With the consistency of his rulings, he's the about the best on the court. They should investigate Robert's.

Besides, it's assumed all those in power are bought off. Why is the focus on Thomas? Why is the focus on his flights and not those who flew on the Epstien Express?
