I don't want to link directly to the ProPublica hit piece, but I'm sure you've heard it by now. Clarence Thomas went on trips with his rich friend and didn't disclose them as gifts.
They're making a big deal out of it now, for some reason, but it's made Thomas respond:

If anyone can find the full, unedited statement from Thomas, there's a rep in it for you. But this seems like just another attempt to get him off the Court. They could literally do this to ANY judge or ANY politician at ANY time. They all have rich friends. And taking a trip with your friends doesn't seem like a "gift" that is meant to influence his decisions.

“Early in my tenure at the Court, I sought guidance from my colleagues and others in the judiciary, and was advised that this sort of personal hospitality from close personal friends, who did not have business before the Court, was not reportable,” Thomas said in the statement. “I have endeavored to follow that counsel throughout my tenure, and have always sought to comply with the disclosure guidelines.”
