Civil War Breaks Out Over Rand Paul On Fox's 'The Five' (VIDEO)

Question for RPF: When debating this topic, what is the best way to respond to the claim on the other side, that the SCOTUS already ruled in the 1970s that you don't have a privacy interest in your phone records?

I think just that the information they contained back then is nowhere close to what it is today and that it needs to be revisited.

Some people with firmly held belief systems have a gut reaction to reject anything contrary to what they believe. You can sell them on new ideas by attaching it to already firmly held beliefs, otherwise they must come to come to the conclusions on their own.

The easiest way to rebuke this is to prove to others that they did wrong. The problem with is this people idolize celebrities and political figureheads like gods, as infallible. the logical fallacy is not to tell these people that their false idol is bad because by proxy that's telling them they are wrong and people want to be told they are right. So Rand just needs to pick his battles, and win more arguments. When they have to stumble on what they are saying and sound like idiots defending their false prophets we will win.

I love how they seem to think that someone would tell them the truth. That's the problem we can't know the truth so it needed to end. Oh and I don't care want their poll said Rand has A lot more than 2% of the female republican vote. #WESTANDWITHRAND

Dana Perino sucks.

Perino: "This morning a CNN poll showed that 2% of Republican women would vote for him. That is not a way to expand the republican party."

So they're still talking about terrorists on TV like terrorists are still a thing that exist and still haunt the imagination of the average American?

I got sick of these lies in 2004. The rest of America has seriously been lapping this up for an additional 11 years?

Injuns>Papists>Darkies>Irish>Germans>Germans AGAIN>fear>Japs>Soviets>>>>>>>>>>Rogue Nuclear States>Terrorists.....

Gotta fear somebody, pal, and we haven't got past terrorists yet.
It's the circle of life. Beautiful, in it's way.

That latest CNN poll Rand totally crushes Hillary Clinton with men 56% to 39%. All demos combined he leads as the candidate that comes close to beating her in a head to head match. Instead Dana Perino, the Jeb Bush lackey, singles out his support with women.

They will do it for the Hispanic vote. Rubio has the name recognition, the fund raising, is close with Jeb his former mentor and a full blown Neocon which is exactly what they want. Kasich brings nothing to the ticket. If they pass on Rubio it will be minority and/or woman VP pick, think Ayotte or Jindal.

Kasich brings winning OHIO to the ticket, in a no-brainer way. Bush himself brings FL to the ticket, making Rubio unnecessary. Jeb already has the latino base covered through his family, and his immigration position. Rubio only makes sense if it really is true that the only thing the Republican leadership cares about is pro-war foreign policy now, and thus want a thorough-going robo-hawk on both sides of the ticket.

You are probably right about Ohio but I believe what I underlined is all they care about. I do not believe Bush portraying himself as a Latino through his family is going to fly in the general and they know it which is where Rubio comes in. Although the media gives favorable coverage to Bush over Rand, Bush will suffer the same media problems with Kasich. Two white guys on the ticket they won't be getting excited about that like they would with Hispanic Rubio.
