Chuck + Barr Barely Beats Nader

Well when you see 8% of RPF bolting from the "don't vote the lesser of two evils" that was practically a cornerstone of the RP campaign, I am sure that the less hardcore (the ones that don't live on these boards) probably ran to the big box parties in much greater numbers.

There is a silver lining I suppose. we can;t be demonized for "costing" McCain the election. McCain just failed to deliver. I have heard the GOP feels they must move even farther left, if they do that in 2010 third parties could explode.

It's win-win. Either the GOP comes back home, or they continue to move left and leave conservatives/libertarians/constitutionalists no option.

It didn't help that I voted in Oklahoma, and only McCain and Obama were on the ballot. You couldn't even write-in a candidate.

Needless to say, I left the office of president blank on my ballot.

Voted in my Senate race for the independent who got 4%.

Voted in my House race against the prick that voted for the bailout, and 2/3rds of the moronic public voted for him.

This country is over, I'm sad to say. Americans are never going to wake up, until they find themselves homeless in the country their forefathers conquered....

Well, I'm sure many, probably even the majority that were registered as a third party, did not go and vote today, with my self of course being one of them. No point in voting when you know what the result of the elections will be two years prior. Besides, I hang around with IQs <70 all day as it is because of my job (dentist), so I don't need to spend an additional (x) amount of minutes or hours standing around in line to drop a single ballot, which very likely won't be counted anyway, into a box. Or do we use those hack-proof electronic voting machines nowadays? :D

The 1st step is.....open the goddamn debates!!!!!!!!!!!!

That'll never happen as long as the Ds and Rs control the criteria for admittance. The 'third' parties were included as long as the League of Women Voters were in charge of the debates but that ended with the Perot run that scared the proverbial socks off the Ds and Rs when they saw how many votes that someone talking some common sense could garner. They saw their power base potentially slipping away and promptly took over the debates.

There was a GREAT third-party debate in '04 that was televised from the Cornell University campus but on C-Span aired it and most folks never even knew about it. This time, only two candidates participated (Baldwin and Nadar) and it was only aired on C-Span again (not that it was anything to write home about anyway). As long as the media in this Country is controlled by a few of the NWO crowd, the masses will never get to hear any alternate views. TPTB will shut them all down just like they ignored and marginalized Dr. Paul. We've got to come up with some REALLY effective ways to by-pass the MSM and still APPEAR to be mainstream, else, the sheople will not pay attention because they've come to believe the mantra about 'wasting their votes'.

There would have been an even greater showing if the debates were open to all the candidates.
