12:55 pm – Christie sounding a bit more natural, less rehearsed as he pivots to trashing Rubio’s campaign speech from this morning.

12:52 pm – Trump, Christie call Rubio “desperate” because he’s down in Florida polls.

12:52 pm – Christie says Trump has the best chance against Hillary Clinton, not “junior Senators.” Trump is “rewriting the playbook,” he says.

12:50 pm – Chris Christie: “I am proud to be here to endorse Donald Trump to be President of the United States.”

12:49 pm – Whoa.

CHRIS CHRISTIE is here with @realDonaldTrump at the press conference

12:48 pm – Hm?

Christie = VP, or Attorney General, or Supreme Court nominee.

Someone posted awhile back that Christie could be Trumps VP pick. Whoever that was has good insight.

This is a pretty shocking endorsement, wonder if he already knew he was going to do this when he took it to Rubio in New Hampshire.

hopefully he'll stay a surrogate and not be promised VP or AG

Looks like Christie is jumping on the bandwagon. And his hatred of Senators seems to be real.

just what we need, the first federal prosecutor to use the patriot act for non-terrorist related cases as attorney general.... maybe he'll get his good buddie Bernie Madoff out of jail while he is at it.

LOL. So much for Donald Trump being "anti establishment." Christie is the biggest (and I don't mean waist size) RINO out there.

As for Christie being on the SCOTUS. Might not be the worst pick. I'd give him 8 years tops before going out with a massive heart attack.

It's a smart for Christie. And more and more establishment Republicans are going to endorse him.

It will be just like that other thread says. The establishment will be fine with Trump when all is said and done.

If the populace were smarter, a Christie endorsement would go over like a Charles Manson or Hitler endorsement.

Astonishing logic fails on display in this thread. I was unaware that one bestows ones "establishment" status upon another via endorsement. It would then follow that Romney was not an establishment candidate by virtue of Rand's endorsement.

It seems like Trump is close to a number of New York/New Jersey politicians; I wouldn't be surprised to see Rudy Giuliani endorse him next, probably right before Florida.

Politicians are politicians and most don't have any real core set of values so I figure we are going to be seeing a lot in the next couple months who are seeing the writing on the wall with the potency of Trump's movement and will predictably start changing their tunes. Most just go whichever way the wind blows. Neocons have had something of a stranglehold on patriotism and nationalistic rhetoric which is powerful thing in this country and Trump has turned that all on its head. So maybe Trump picking up the nationalist mantle will push the neoconservatives out or maybe more pessimistically they will co-opt him.

Rand's endorsement was only for the general election, not the primaries.
