I can't stand Christie either, but at least he will abuse his power to go after Islamic terrorists and progressives instead of to go after conservatives like Obama's people have done.

Don't forget he'll go after those damn pot smokers and encryption users.

Unfortunate, but better than the alternative. The police state isn't going anywhere this decade, but we can keep it out of the libs' control.

Well, Trump probably just lost all chances of me supporting him. Chris Christie is the worst of the worst in America. He is worse than Jeb Bush, and worse than Clinton. With normal Republican Establishment candidates, there's that chance that maybe they are trying to do the right thing, and they have enthusiasm behind some of their fiscally conservative stances. But with Christie, he solely cares about promoting the worst parts of the Republican Party, and doesn't care about any of his few "good" stances that matter. In the debates, he avoided almost every question where he had a chance to care about a conservative stance, by taking most of the time to talk about why Clinton is so bad, and then spending 2 sentences answering the actual question, because he doesn't care about conservatism. The only thing Christie has passion and knowledge about is taking away our freedoms. He abuses the fearfulness of conservative voters by hammering fears of terrorism into their heads, and enforcing his authority on us with "I'm gonna keep you safe." Christie is worse than the Democrats, worse than George W. Bush, worse than Jeb Bush & Rubio's badness combined. Wherever Chris Christie is, I want to be on the opposite side of Planet Earth.

Christie was probably offered something in Trump's administration, VP or AG being the best bets. From the red meat he was throwing evangelicals today, I wouldn't be surprised if he picked Ben Carson as his running mate to fortify his position with the Christian right.

I think he is trying to stay relevant. The GOP is sinking like the Titanic and the rats jump ship.

They are still infuriated that Christie stopped Rubio's momentum after Iowa.

Among other factors, Christie-Rubio mutual dislike probably played a role in this big endorsement.
