I'm starting to think it's a lost cause. Campaign wants me to confirm my ticket. What do I tell them - I gotta wait until the last minute and see if I really can make it down there or not? Can they re-assign my ticket to a more fortunate supporter, on short notice?

None of the chipin amounts have been chipped into in quite some time. It's quite sad, indeed. I am normally not willing or able to drive such a long distance, but Ron Paul ASKED us to be there, PAID for our tickets, and NEEDS our votes. So, I am willing to do it. I've arranged to borrow a car and sleep on friends' couches. Now all I need is another $175, before Monday (deadline for ticket confirmation), then I can leave on Wednesday with Paypal debit card in hand to use at gas stations.

ETA: Also spent $2 at a yard sale today on a garment that might meet the conference dress code. Which I did not already own a single one of!
