Whats the most ironic is that Mainland Chinese love going to HK for the zero taxed luxury goods, safe food products and uncensored internet.

They also love HK for the citizenship, banking system and stock market, so they can avoid the strict capital controls that Mainland has instituted.

But at the same time, they don't want HK to be free.

I guess blaming the people of China for hypocrisy is pointless because there is no opposing view anyways. Everything is top down, even the opinions and nationalism.

Trump says China is sending troops to Hong Kong border

President Trump on Tuesday tweeted out an alert on turmoil in Honk Kong, saying China is massing troops the border.

“Our Intelligence has informed us that the Chinese Government is moving troops to the Border with Hong Kong. Everyone should be calm and safe!” the president tweeted, aboard Air Force One on his way from his New Jersey golf club to a Pittsburgh suburb for a speech.

Hong Kong’s teeming airport again suspended check-in services Tuesday for departing flights as protesters pushing for democratic reforms took over the terminals for a second day.
Chinese military vehicles were seen massing Monday in Shenzhen, just over the border from Hong Kong.

A convoy of olive-green Chinese military trucks was seen heading toward the semi-autonomous city, which has been wracked by anti-government protests for weeks.
China’s People’s Armed Police was assembled in Shenzhen for “exercises,” the state-backed Global Times newspaper said.


The Communist Party’s official People’s Daily newspaper said on the Twitter-like Weibo that the force can handle incidents including riots or terrorist attacks — an apparent warning to the protesters.

Under what’s called the Basic Law — Hong Kong’s “constitution” since the UK gave the territory back to China in 1997 — is clear about when Chinese military can be used in the city.
Intervention can only come after a request from the Hong Kong government for help, and for the “maintenance of public order and in disaster relief,” the BBC reported.

China’s People’s Liberation Army already has about 5,000 troops and other personnel stationed at a base in Hong Kong.
 
In Hong Kong they are singing our national anthem and screaming to have a 2nd Amendment. In America we have people trying to get rid of the 2nd Amendment and crying to have the national anthem outlawed. The people of Hong Kong seem to have a better understanding of freedom than that of Americans.

I might have a guy in Hong Kong , guy I played soccer with when I was 16 . Things are expensive there , hopefully Danke has a pocket full of gold coins.
